Has 2005 been good to you? What about 2006?
I believe the little guy will get squeezed out overnight. Unless the little guys can find a partner with a substantial bankroll (or their own personal funding) it'll be hard to compete on a level-playing field buying domains in the aftermarket & domain drop auctions, etc.
This is wrong, in my opinion. It is, however, harder to get into the domain market if you don't own a domain portfolio yet. I think sales prices for domains will go higher in 2006 - especially for .com, of course, but also for .info, .de, .us and .cn. 2005 has been great for my company and me personally, so I am really looking forward to the domaining year 2006!I believe the little guy will get squeezed out overnight. i am new to this domain industry.learning by mistakes and hope to make a good year in 2006 like you guys did in 2005labrocca said:2005 has been great...the last 6 months have been even better..I expect 2006 to be a $xxx, xxx year for me in domaining.

I appreciate your enthusiasm for new namespace, mole, however, it always feels like you know some amazing secret that no-one else has figured out yet. As though you're taunting us because you're the only one who's realised that .BIZ domains instantly get PR8.mole said:.BIZ and .INFO have already come to age, but not in the way old school domain speculators can easily understand nor appreciate.
I see 2006 as another good year for new namespace. .EU will be launching to the public in April, .XXX will finally get off the blocks, .MOBI will get a swing in by the mobile companies...
With increasing awareness and appreciation for why new namespace exists, people will increasingly look at .COM as that old school, last year extension that ain't going anywhere.
It's good to hear some success stories, stuff! Congrats!stuff said:Never thought it can go so Big, make already more money in month (from PPC) then my friend`s with normal work in one year
Beachie said:To me, .BIZ is tacky. I would never put my legitimate bizniz on a .BIZ, fo shizzle. funerals.biz? doctor.biz? I don't think so. Maybe funeralz.biz; if Snoop Dogg gets killed in 2006.
Maybe. There will always be exceptions to the rule - sites that are popular irrespective of the domain (if they even have a domain). Some sites would be popular if they were only accessible by IP address. I presume that site gets a fair amount of advertising in print media?mole said:You need to think beyond B2C, beach. I am not taunting anyone, just calling out the reality of the situation, i.e., speculators in general think very B2C, and therefore value names accordingly.
Good example of a B2B is http://www.gamesindustry.biz

Beachie said:Sure, the value of .INFO and .BIZ sales will increase over the next year, but it will be driven by the lack of good .COM's (which will increase in value more), not by their own merits.
