Many sites including Google.com hit hard by latest Penguin update.

Radiculous update from Google.

Examples

1) Now, Dogpile.com is at first place in google.com for "search engine". What a funny update? I have seen many unrelevant results on first page.

2) Search for "viagra", the site, http://www.aiam.edu/ is on first page.

May be time to switch to Bing.com .

Exactly. They think that they're Search engine God and that they can do whatever they like.

GOOGLE ****ING sucks. It bumbped my site from google page 1 to google page 2, and replaced with low quality stupid websites.

Google can go to F***themselves., i hate them.

Did Candy.com get hit? They used to be ranked #1 for "candy". Can't seem to find them in Google now. How about Morgan Linton's Kayaking.org (for "kayaking")? Nice site as well, though looks like it may have gotten hit too. Not sure on either one of these.

My EMDs all took hits. This shit just never seems to end with Google. I think that Google should just reduce itself to the search bar over at Wikipedia and About.com, and let someone else step in and do real search. The results have never looked so absurd.

If you typed "science fiction" into Google, would you rather land on "en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science_fiction" or "sciencefiction.com"? When does this Wikipedia and About.com bullshit end? Why does G continue to turn the search results upside down every two to three months? Google is a complete and total f'ing joke.

Well done on this latest update Matt Cunts, Sergey Spin, and Larry "Penalize Your" Page. The Three f'ing Stooges.

Google has made success at the first page,..

Now each search first page is Guaranteed to have Wikipeadia, Ask.com, Facebook,.. and a couple of google paid links.

If you want anything else you will have to look on page two, or deeper.

Google results have gotten worse ever since they started rolling out Panda updates. I used to be able to find what I want on the first page and now I gotta go deeper. Their algorithm is getting too picky and ranking old and outdated information websites higher.

Googles algorithm is treating the people who 'treat' them on the sly, or directly.

Everyone else gets page two for top billing.

Search "buy viagra online",

you will see two .edu sites including hfrp.umm.edu & www.engineering.uga.edu

Total joke.

Google should be changed to Voogle.com.

One of my website is old, lots of content in Joomla niche, lots of lots of lots of backlinks for forums, joomla.org, edu's even magazines related to website developing. I also have a directory and a file database where I store interesting and rare components for Joomla. In fact one of them can be found only on my website and for that related keyword I was in No1 place while I have several other great rankings for long tail keywords about the main keyword.
Now I dont see my website anywhere, traffic dropped 150% while I get to see websites that refer to my website rank in 1st place.

How google is that?

In general and as a "Client" I dislike how ads appear in first places not letting me read the real websites. Blekko is used more and more by me.

Penguin only impacted around 3% of United States searches, it just happened to be the kinds of keywords that SEOs pay attention to. They have already opened up a method for webmasters to report problems with the update, but it is only a matter of time before people start to take back the SERPs.

If I recall correctly,... Google came up with that 3% number.

Anyway, search ANYTHING! The front page will always be the teachers pets & best friends.

I'm not sure what to think. The rankings on the keywords I care seem to have changed nearly nothing. I see those rotten examples, but I don't see it on my own examples.

Yes, it was largely targeted towards "over optimized" sites, which tend to be in commercial spaces. 3.1% of queries were affected, but those may account for a far greater percentage of searches because they happen to be commonly searched terms.

If you want to see how Google messed up badly just search for the word "pearls" no quotes. 9 of 10 results are related to pearls and 1 result is named based. 1 out of 10 is Wikipedia, and 1 out of 10 is a spammed site in wikipedia.

I have seen may people working to keep the position, with all the best links posible to keep positions on google.com, but yesterday i got a very interesting news from no. 1 advertise company from UK, i will not share here the name, probably is not etic right now. So what i have heard and saw is that they are using some of the spam methods ever to create BL for their website.

I am confused how Google, allows this. If i do just 10% of what they are doing, i get a nice message with my site pennalized or sandboxed, well this guys are doing this for years, and they have no problem at all.

Is this how google, protects, or respects its own rules !!?!? By killing others, and protecting the big guys??

Our websites and keywords performance are badly affected by Penguin update it seems like Google is playing with us, ultimately Google makes us confused.
