In fact, I'd like to quote Marc's last statement that you need to respond - to show exactly that: you're willing to fight for the domain so they'd better back off.

Today I got a C&D on Isurance.com from Esurance.com. Do they think they are entitled to every typo of insurance because they advertise more? I'm sick of companies thinking they can bully and reverse hijack one of my names because I have a parking page.

i don t think Greg asked for opinions or help
he just made a statement that he is "sick of companies thinking they can bully and reverse hijack one of my names"
and i have to agree with that
we all know he has a lot of experience dealing with that kind of problems

If you think that being smart is whining about "reverse hijacking," then play it that way. If you think that playing it smart is asking for an opinion, getting opinions from 10 dickheads who wouldn't know their ass from their elbow in a courtroom, and then being a twat to the one guy who has any actual knowledge that he shared with you free of charge, then play it that way.

Don't get your panties in a wad. 10 dickheads is a little harsh. :)
I didn't ask for your your opinion or anyone's opinion.

About marcorandazza
Biography
I am an attorney and former law professor. My law practice is focused on First Amendment, Intellectual Property, Internet, and Entertainment Law.

After this little exchange with Greg you certainly have the entertainment law covered.

e and i prefixes are so 1999.
1996 you mean :)

For the purpose of the radio test the domain could be deemed "confusingly similar", yet esurance took a risk with their branding. That's what happens with you decide to trade with a shitty brandable like theirs.
I have an idea about them but I can't find the appropriate smiley :)

A company I worked for in 2001 had both an "e" AND a dash following it. The prefix is clearly an abuse of "email" (formerly "e-mail") to give any corporation with Internet access the "stamp of electronic presence". Thank you Al Gore, for Information Superhighway :D

I would not respond to ANY C&Ds. Take this as the best advice you'll get. NEVER respond to C&Ds until a UDRP / WIPO is underway.

the thing is - wouldn't most just give up the name in: fear, hassle and cost.
even if they did win what would be the legal cost
