I live near the epicenter of the earthquake (there was 2 earthquakes and I live in the middle).
Tonight me and my family had a bad night...but we here and we are safe.

My house had some damages in 2 rooms but nothing too bad.

I think another member here seen a baddest situation because he live very near at the disaster.

Thanks guys for the help (here and via Pm) very appreciated.

6.3 - can be quite scary to people not used to them and could cause some damage in areas not prepared for them.

My scary thought is that the epicenter isn't far from Campi Flegrei and Vesuvius (geographically speaking). Time for vulcanologists to start watching those two.

Glad to see you're OK, Carter, and I'm sure it may be a few days before we hear from members close to there since they're going to have power issues and I'm sure they have more important things to do.

Edit: Expect aftershocks, some may be as strong as this one (or close to it, high 5 range) in the next 72 hours. Many more (dozens to hundreds) in the smaller range 4.5 and under over the next few weeks.

For some time tonight I've thinked to loose my domains LOL
I was in the one of the Friuli region in 1975 or 76. Over 1000 killed. 6.2 and lasted for 54 seconds which seemed an eternity.

My heart goes out to my adopted country and people of Italia.

Glad to see you're ok.

Seems that Italians were up all night, as one of them bought one of my domains at Sedo after two rounds of negotiations :D

I've just talked to the phone with my parents they live in Aquila where the disaster happened.
They talk to me about 2 little babies (2-3 years old) and a young mom died in front of their eyes...another guy extract the girlfriend's died body and place her in the middle of the street :(

I try to be funny because this is my character and because I've seen so much s...in my life...

I've donated $$$$ this morning and blood in my hospital but I can't do more from here.
This is a terrible circumstance only Lord Knows Why.

Glad to see you're ok.

Eheh I hope they will pay Sedo soon because italians and money don't match :D

Many do not understand what a strong coping mechanism this is. The dry wit and humor of medical people in a crisis is nothing more than that - a defensive coping mechanism.
