Psst. Pizza is technically Greek...

And if you really want to get nit picky, pasta is technically middle eastern (well, modern pasta (semolina) - it could be older and from the Greeks. The Chinese were also eating noodles (rise pasta) long before the Roman Empire, let alone Italy.

But - Italians do a great job with pasta and pizza. ;)

I'm getting hungry now. :)

Carter - we you able to do anything with my PM (a yes or no would be OK)?

No because my PayPal is freeze for some days :(
I hope tomorrow to do it...if you can reg the name now I can buy the domain from you in the next days.

Let me know Ed :)

Haha, i know you like blonds

Blonds, dark, red, green, violet...I like them :D

Guys look this hell

Finally have some time to look at the data from USGS:

Shake maps (how intense the shaking was):
http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/shakemap/global/shake/2009fcaf/

VI - VII intensity is pretty localized but it looks like a very large area will have their nerves rattled a bit from this and aftershocks (pun intended).

"Did you feel it?" map - people reporting what they felt:

Exposure map:

Wow very interesting sites...

This guy called Giampaolo Giuliani some weeks ago said a great quakes still coming near L'Aquila but police & government take it to the court for false allarm and accused him to be a fear speculator.

This guy studied the "RADON" and with a team of technicians he said he can anticipate where quakes come...

Yep. People who predict things like this are usually labeled as dooms-dayers. :(

I've always had a standing theory of human violence escalates before an earthquake happens. I've seen it before.

1989 San Francisco earthquake - domestic violence was on the rise
The Armenian earthquake back in the 1980s - I think there was massive rioting before.

Let's also not forget the record calls for lost pets just before the 1989 SF earthquake...

You think people commit crimes "feel" a quake still come?
Or the quake energy push the people's mind to commit more crimes?

It's a very interesting theory.

We know what's going to happen - we're still animals. Many pets "disappear" just before an earthquake because they know it is happening - just like large schools of fish know to swim out of the way of an oncoming hurricane.

So, I don't think we know how to interpret these feelings or signs. Normally, before TV, internet, cities, etc.. if we were agitated we left. Now, we take it out on those close to us.

The scientist was measuring radon being emitted from the Earth. This could be the catalyst - acting like a violent drug to us. I'm going to have to do some research on this and ask some of my father-in-law's friends about how radon could affect us, psychologically and emotionally.

Thanks Ed why you working with domains?
You need to stay at NASA :)

If so probably radon can influence actions in the next days also...it's very interesting on a criminal side of the story too.

I can recall there was speculation of this very thing leading up to the 2004 Indonesia tsunami
