That's right folks the news broke. They are off an running and the countdown over every domain foreign has begun! It can no longer be ignored or denied. You better get in as fast as you can.

This story was picked up by domainingblog.com

Recently, the Japan Registry has taken means to expose the Japanese public to IDN's (Internationalized Domain Names). The registry has taken advertisements in R25 Magazine, a magazine freely given away throughout Japan and the ad was placed with hopes of educating the people on having domain names that are actually reminiscent with Japan and its language.

You can personally thank Olney at idnforms.com for breaking this story.

Good Luck to you all.

I think the Cat is out of the bag and lapping at the Cream!

I am not sure any of us can take the credit for this. ICANN and others have spent years diligently labouring to get things to this point.

The whole market situation has been building like a surcharging dam that is about to wash away under the shear deluge of interest.

Of course there is still time to make money out of this for those who are not totally immune to the concept of earning a quick buck!

Best Regards

You are correct ofcourse on this statement. But as far as taking this story and getting it reckognized it was surely Olney's doing.

And yes, there are still ton's of prime domains left. :cheeky:

A little update for this site. After a being up for a little while this site is doing extremely well.

Alexa ranking is overal 557,659. This week ranking is 190,942. With a reach of 8.5/million viewers.

The site has a predicted pagerank of 6 at the next update.

Consumer awareness it seems for idns is working. Now all we need is a universal way for them to get to our idns.

This is good news ya'll, it just proves idn's can be and are successful even without proper function yet.

Heartening to see some serious domainers at that other place, not to mention eye-opening.

Am I the only one to feel cheap and dirty after seeing the ultra-premiums?

If I already have a .jp name in english, how to get the japanese version?

Is that a seperate reg fee or something extra you request for the registrar?

You better look to see if it's available.

JP-Domains.com When you get there click the search bar at top of page. Then click on the 2 for 1 special on the next.

Yes, it costs extra. That's like saying I own domain.com and then claiming I have a right to all the translations in every country. Unless of course your name is trademarked.

For .com registration try.
domainsite.com
dynadot.com
idotz.net

Good luck.
