Yikes! Fizz hit it right on the head - that is unless you rollover and play dead when they come knocking at your door.

I see that you (I hope it was you) have this posted this in the "Legal issues" section, as well ... wise idea! You WILL need an attorney here, in my opinion. See that 'post for the rest. OUCH.
Good Luck.

Its pretty like you would be in fornt of police station and asking, for how much you can sell this radio, youve stollen from a car near by. They would arrest you, but you would keep saying: "Ok, so youve arrested me, but still, please tell me how much can I get for it?"

To my knowledge if the name is given up there is no problem, which in this case I would give the name up.
It is a simple, if nike wants the name they can have it, if I can sell it I will.

If I am the guy getting arrested in front of the police station,
you are the old lady looking out her window that will talk about it for the next 6 months.

The only $$ you are going to get is if you contact Nike and say. "hey I saw this TM domain was dropped and I snagged it so that you could have it, who should I transfer it too". Perhaps they'd send you a pair of sneakers to say thanks

but it would be a LOT cheaper than the legal bill to deal with Nike if they charge you with cybersquatting

He asks about nikecorp.com note nike. I know the case is almost lost, but it still could have some legal questions.

My (non-lawyer's, of course) intuition is that a domain of NIKE.[TLD] would be more defensible than NIKECORP.[TLD]... the latter refers specifically to the Nike corporation, and would be hard to come up with a decent explanation of a noninfringing intended use. NIKE.[TLD] might be usable for a site pertaining to the ancient Greek mythological figure of that name, and you might get away with it and survive a challenge, though this would be more likely if your site is actually substantial and not just something that looks like it was thrown together quickly to try to defeat a domain challenge.

The only defense I can think of for the NIKECORP.COM domain would be if it were used for a consumer criticism site about Nike and you claimed free speech rights; some panelists actually respect that sort of thing, though most probably don't. A defense of noncommercial commentary would make more sense to me if the domain were .ORG or .INFO instead of .COM, and would also only make sense if you were actually using the domain that way and not just hoarding it unused.

Of course NIKECORP is not a TM, NIKE is the TM, CORP is the entity.

You have both in one domain. Obvious infringement. Come on, man!

Officially, they are Nike Inc.

Again - difficult, but worth a legal consultation.
