Any person who registers a domain name that consists of the name of another living person, or a name substantially and confusingly similar thereto, without that personâs consent, with the specific intent to profit from such name by selling the domain name for financial gain to that person or any third party, shall be liable in a civil action by such person.
Since then, Griffin has claimed the site is made up of commercial content and is operated through a portal that generates revenue through click-through advertisements.
But after the lawsuit was filed, the site has since changed, reading "Are you looking for Kathyâs official website? It's located at KathyGriffin.net."
the .com site now says
Are you looking for Kathy's official website?
Are you looking for Kathy's official website? It's located at kathygriffin.net.
