any popular two word phrase or name with a 'dash' between the two words is probably regged. Checked a while back for lots of terms, and even the net, org, info, biz of popular two word terms are taken. Those kind of domains are great for search engines, and I see them being used by end users all the time.
Since this thread started (May 25) about a third of the L-L-L.com that were available are now gone. That's about three months.
The next best to reg, for me, are L-L.ca. There are still some LLL.ca available but I'd rather have premium letters or letters that mean something in L-L than crappy letters in LLL. I use .ca because it's my country code, but the same could be said for L-L.co.uk, or .us, .de, etc. especially if there are still nice two letter combinations available. I was able to get C-D, R-N, C-V, N-A and so on in .ca, and there are still more available.
I don't think I'd get into L-L-L-L.com, or N-N-N-N.com, so after the L-L-L.com are gone I'm going to focus on L-L and N-N country code until those are taken, then who knows from there.
