No thanks to a new browser as want to stick with industry standard software IE6 and hardware and don't want to use rarely used programs like alternate 3rd party browsers. Software should be designed to work on the #1 programs not best on 2nd tier ones as far as popularity goes
whew
I understand.
Please do not take the following and feel as if I have a sense of anger or frustration, it's my intent to try to help understand the problem.
Mpeg is a format that plays with various software. I guess thats what you meant by the 'software should be designed to work' reference. Unless your talking about plugins. Mozilla uses quicktime built right in, and its even as smart to start the playback as soon as it has enough of the file to start playing it back and not choke on itself, taking into consideration the connection time. It looks ahead and starts playing back at the right time. But beside all that, your using an I. Exploder and Windows Media Player, correct? Not the industry standard, thats the Microsoft standard, and what the computer store arranged for you to purchase. Most webmasters I know consider the standard to be higher than IE, I.E. Mozilla, Opera, and up from there. And, we use both for the sake of those that don't know better, to see what they see. But anyway..
I assure you, the file resides where I linked it from. And, the server is quite fast, to boot. 'Consider the source' is a typical reaction, but it's not on my end. Those mpgs have been hit a lot lately and yours is the only negative feedback I've gotten. I'm sorry.
Anyway, try right clicking and select 'save target as' and save to a temp folder for viewing, then delete them when you've gotten your fill.
And, a P.S.: if you were to try Mozilla, you most likely wouldn't not go back to IE.
That means you might like it. Try it.
Anyway, good luck getting the files. They're there. I promise.
How often do you get to see Ben Stein telling Hillary Clinton jokes?
Try and try again, my friend. At this point, it may not be worth it for either of us to continue dialogue about this. Sorry it didn't work out.
