when buying domains that include city names, should you have the location name first or second?
Ex.: canadawebsite.com or websitecanada.com?
also, does this rule change if you're buying for a state/province or city? For example, would you buy canadawebsite.com but websitetoronto.com?

Also, how influenced are by what people search for? I've noticed that many searches tend to have itemlocation.com rather than locationitem.com, especially in regards to national searches. That's why I bought ****canada. after buying canadian****.ca ... more people search for **** canada than canadian**** ...

But I'm not sure if this applies to cities too...

I think the choice would mostly depend on the domain itself. In some cases the city name before the word would be better and in some cases the city name after the word may be better. In general I would be prefer locationthing.com more than thinglocation.com.
