Germans pay well for domains, regardless of extension. I sold a 3-letter .net for $11.5k to a German power company. They were very fast and efficient in the transaction. BTW, those of you that are selling 3-letter .nets for under $1k you might want to do some research before dumping them for peanuts here.

Germans tend to take a much longer-term view than their Anglo Saxon counterparts. Two or three years down the line, even these prices will look cheap. Also Germans are not as hung up on dot com, they probably prefer dot de and will almost certainly fill their boots with dot eu.

They are also heavy investors in IDN, not only in German Keywords and extensions, but appear to be investing heavily in Chinese and other Asian IDN. This is probably because they already have a good understand of how IDN domains work from their domestic market. They will already appreciate how valuable an exact Keyword match is in terms of search engine position.

Best Regards

Thats a hefty pricetag for a ccTLD in my opinion, hope it works out for him though.

I just sold zgi.net for peanuts (under $1000) here. Mind pointing me to some of that research that shows this was a big mistake so I can kick myself a bit. :emba:

.co.in is by default obsolete the moment .in was introduced last Feb.
You don't think .co.in will remain viable since had been in use for awhile? Similar example: I'm equating .US with the city.state.us sites that had existed for years prior to .US.

I see you just sold several good quality .nets for under $1k and are attempting to sell a whole bunch more for under $1k.

http://www.dnforum.com/thread105407-.html

I'm curious what suddenly made you change your mind about the value of .nets. I'm asking, because I also recently sold a .net for much less than $1000 and was having second thoughts after you originally posted this. I tried to research the value of .nets as you suggested but couldn't find anything substantial. Have you recently come across something to indicate that the value is not rising as much as you first thought? Thanks for any info on this.

No change - I simply have too many. How many 3-letter .net's do you have?
I always recycle domains (buying & selling). With more than 650 quality names - more than 50% being dictionary com/net/org - I often sell to capitalize on the price increase. Trust me, I always sell making profit.

Ok. Thanks for the info. The .net I recently sold was the only 3 letter domain I had. Good luck with your sales.
