Been more like a disappointing/surprising etc time in history imo....

-Fallout from Iran election
-David Carradine, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson pass away in a relatively short time period.
-SC governor MIA, first in the Appalachian Trail (allegedly) then found to be in Argentina having an affair
-More noise from North Korea than usual

Very sad a great singer, not the best history as a human, but all is forgiving once some one dies.

So lets remember him for the good things, and let's not drag him in the mud, after all god will be his judge now.

Your right Tas, It's just hard not to think of his history though.

I don't know much very about Farrah Faucet, I know she was a actress and very attractive when she was young. I saw little clips of the special she did and it tore me up.. It's so sad to see people die slowly like she did, I think that's why I chose not to watch it in it's entirety.

I don't know what show it was, but I remember MJ did a interview in his home and was asked the question "How many times have you had plastic surgery?" His response was ONLY once after the Pepsi accident, But when you look at his pictures like the ones Seraphim linked to, that cant possibly be true.

Farrah's death and her brave fight against cancer was rough to watch over the last two years, she went public with her fight but in the end it's tough to beat cancer. She will be missed.

Michael had some good music but too many issues and many doubts about how he conducted himself and what he was or was not into.

Either way these two will be missed and are leaving legacies behind.

Both of these stories involve children, Farrah son in jail for drug charges and never got to be with his mother in the end will have to live with that. Michael's three kids will probably be in a custody battle because the money goes with the kids and we know that when there's money involved everyone all of a sudden wants the kids.

Very good points. It's who remains that will face the challenges. The kids of both will need all the help they can get.

Michael Jackson, Super Star Entertainer, on stage and in life, was about love, life and peace. Its not a perfect world. This man also had 4 billion thoughts / opinions about him and many more to come.

For me, I liked how he played the part.

NEVERLAND RANCH MEMORIAL.COM

I think it would be nice if the Jackson Estate could re-open this as a memorial to Mike Jackson.

I think its now owned by some Real Estate company, so they would need to work out some deal with them.

From a musical standpoint Michael Jackson was very talented and Thriller was/is his best song. Of course his personal life was marred by his strange obsession with making his skin lighter. The way he made his kids cover their faces in public was just weird to me and who can forget the dangling of the child out the window!!! Its like he had the mind of a 8 year old. Maybe his behavior had to do with the abuse he took as child at the hands of his father.
