Requiring identity verification for use of chat rooms is playing into the hands of totalitarian governments that want to control their citizens.

MS is lcosing down all thier FREE chats..


So.. here are the main resons why ms may be closing imo.

1. Their free chat servers are consting too much to run
2. They want to keep spammers and pedophiles out
3. They are wanting to convert free chatters into paid (to make more $)

Who knows what the real reason is and it could be a mix of them..

I dont see whats wrong with ID verification..

The whole anonominity of the internet isn't a good thing imo.
