Missed domain horror stories wanted...

I was around when photography.org was available...
and it was for quite a while.
When I decided to go for it, you know the rest...

and then... I tried for photography.info
apparently, I had gotten it, but there was a problem with register.com, even though they charged me for it, during the baby days of .info, the other party finally received it, the reason, I was never given. I got emails from the other party back then saying they had a right to the name...etc... etc... kind of weird, eh?
They did refund me though...

Back in 1995 I didn't register any 3-letter .com's even though I found many available. I simply did not have the funds.
