I have heard that the user doesnt have to switch in some countries. As for Japan, the following carriers must enter the letters as such:
(for example - 53x.mobi)
DoCoMo = j-k-l-5, d-e-f-3, w-x (10 keypresses)
AU KDDI = J-K-L-j-k-l-5, D-E-F-d-e-f-3, W-X-Y-w-x (19 keypresses)
Softbank (Previously Vodafone) =
1. OLD MODELS = (switch to numers) 5, 3, (switch to alphabet) x
(5 keypresses)
2. NEW MODELS = j-k-l-5, d-e-f-3, w-x (10 keypresses)
(for example - freee.mobi)
DoCoMo = d-e-f, p-q-r, d-e (next button), d-e (next button),
d-e (14 keypresses)
AU KDDI = D-E-F-d-e-f, P-Q-R-p-q-r, D-E-d-e (pause), D-E-d-e (pause), D-E-d-e (24 keypresses)
Softbank (Previously Vodafone) =
1. OLD MODELS = D-E-F-d-e-f, P-Q-R-p-q-r, D-E-d-e (pause), D-E-d-e (pause), D-E-d-e (24 keypresses)
2. NEW MODELS =D-E-F-d-e-f, P-Q-R-p-q-r, D-E-d-e (pause), D-E-d-e (pause), D-E-d-e (24 keypresses)
Does anyone else know of any other different phones with different keypress entries?
(damn, I feel like a nerd...:smartass: )
