Moniker Finished ?

Has moniker finished as the safest registrar after somebody emailed in a complaint and now they have told me they will reveal the identity of myself and remove the whois privacy.......nothing short of a disgrace !

britishbulldog - what are you talking about? YES, Moniker IS the safest registrar in the industry! IF you're utilizing our privacy services we would NEVER reveal your identity and would NEVER remove privacy - even after somebody emailed in a complaint.

jrzeygirl, you need a little more backround before just answering " Never " . In cases where a complaint is made and further action may be taken, Moniker HAS and will hand over your info or I should say the account info any ways. Monte avoids legal heat and I cant blame him.

You said it "they lose their status as the worlds safest register" just to hand over details because somebody claims they cannot get hold of anybody on the site to make a complaint is a joke all they have to do is send an email to the private whois email.........not for moniker just to hand over all my information otherwise Moniker privacy is not really private at all........you gotto to be joking me right ?
well if monte don't like legal action why is he handing out info to anybody who asks for it ?

I know of instances where it is TM name and the complaint is likely to press moniker legally, to avoid this they cave.

As far as I know if the circumstance is such most all registrars will cave, not sure who would want the legal headache otherwise. I never guess privacy to be a way of stopping being notified of an infringement.

As far as I know if the circumstance is such most all registrars will cave, not sure who would want the legal headache otherwise. I never guess privacy to be a way of stopping being notified of an infringement.

Nah it's not a TM name it a C&D letter for some content posted on a forum by another member,no probs i can take it down but what has got me,this guy never sent no proof and moniker has taken his word as gospel that he is the copywright holder and has told me they will reveal my details to him in 5 days unless i comply.......wheres the C&D letter,where's the evidence?

To be honest i don't think moniker understand the C&D ruling,we have 28 days to comply not 5,they are clueless imho.

Again you were WRONG in stating NEVER. I was right, they WILL and I even identified why which turned out to be on the right course in this matter. I said nothing wrong, because I didnt state its " the legal department" that does it you are justified, it still Moniker, please.

Might be the right course if they followed protocol which they do not has they do not understand a C&D thats where the problem lies......but to just hand out somebody's private details with NO evidence is disgraceful.

So now anybody now can just fire an email to moniker and make a complaint provide no evidence and get their whois details,thats what they are saying to me !

Bari has caved in and claims she knows nothing about it and handed back to the legal team,all i ask is for the evidence ? which at the moment they cannot provide.

They need to understand C&D and the protocol which so far they have not followed......they carry on like this they are setting a very bad precedence for everybody and will continue getting slaughtered !

Will everyone PLEASE relax! I am working on this with legal to get it resolved as quickly as possible. I don’t work in the legal dept so I can’t comment on the rules/regulations of C&D’s etc.

I have never experienced this with any other domain company before under the same circumstances it's only moniker who has ever threatened to hand out my private details to somebody else.

Let me assure you I certainly didn't cave but will tell you (and everyone else) I'm done with this posting war! What I said was that I was turning this back over to my legal team for further assistance - and that's just what I did. Believe me when I tell you proper protocol will be followed!

The email that was originally sent to you was asking for you to address the complaint. All legal/abuse needed from you was a response that you were handling it and the case would have been closed. Instead, you chose to jump on DNForum, post about the incident and blast Moniker. I immediately reached out to you to try and help but instead I too get blasted.

NO that's a lie,you threatened to reveal my identity to the person if i did not comply within 5 days,i asked you for evidence of the C&D from this person which you could not provide, basically moniker are clueless with the C&D protocol.......and were turning over my identity to a guy who justs sent an email asking for it........wtf is going on over there Bari ?

even you cant answer and have bottled it by refusing to post about it again !

Something you cannot sort out yet i thought you was actually somebody over there but no you must be a payroll number like everybody else.
