correct, i dunno thats what i'm trying to ask but they cannot answer why they are willing to hand over my private details to anybody who requests it,thats my complaint !

NO that a lie,it threatened to reveal my identity to the person if i did not comply within 5 days,i asked you for evidence of the C&D from this person which you could not provide, basically moniker are clueless with the C&D protocol.......and were turning over my identity to a guy who justs ent an email asking for it........wtf is going on over there Bari ? even you cant answer and have bottled it by refusing to post about it again !

Something you cannot sort out yet i thought you was actually somebody over there but no you must be a payroll number like everybody else.

Thanks for nothing !

I'm not bottling anything! I said I was turning it back over to legal - as they would need to handle this issue and that's what I did.

Honestly, email Monte, he always replies, answers the question and usually pretty quickly.

You're absolutely correct about that TheLegendaryJP - which is why I already forwarded him the thread.

I wouldn't expect privacy settings to alleviate a tm, copyright, or other legal issue from catching up with domainers & their registrars. Not to mention that the registrar usually gets sued when its customers do. Hope this gets resolved to everyone's satisfaction.

Bari has turned this one on me,"read the T&C's"....fancy pulling this stunt on me,so it's true Bari you do reveal peoples identities at your sole discretion yet earlier in a post you say "we NEVER reveal peoples info" LIAR

O.K guys you wanna carry on registering your domains with moniker, read this they will turn over your privacy records to anybody they feel like at their sole discretion :

You acknowledge and agree that in responding to communications received by Moniker Privacy Services which constitute complaints with respect to any domain name registration which utilizes the Privacy Services, Moniker may communicate with the complainant and inform them that Moniker is not the true registrant of the domain name in question, that Moniker will forward a copy of the complaint or other communication to you and that if you do not respond within a certain period of time, your lack of response may constitute grounds for cancellation of the Privacy Service with respect to such domain name registration. "Moniker may then in its sole discretion attach your default whois information to the domain and display it when the whois record for the domain is looked up".

It's a ****ing joke pulling stunts like this on me,BARI you are LIAR !

Can we wait and see what their legal dept has to say and all the Information is at hand before trying to crucify them?

I don't like it when everything gets out of control before all the facts are in and clear.

Although I might just be saying this because I think Bari is REALLY HOT!

Hey britishbulldog - I suggest you get a grip! I am not a liar nor am I an attorney. I said I was turning it over to legal to handle. My apologies for any miscommunication on my part as I didn’t mean to provide you with false information however you're way out of line! You don't see me calling you names do you? If anything, I've been nothing but professional towards you with the intent to assist.

I can assure you this post won’t tarnish my rep on DNForum. I’m very well known/respected in the industry and on the board.

I didnt lie - I was misinformed and unfortunately passed on incorrect information - which I have apologized to you now a million times!

No one is blinded by my beauty although I appriciate the compliment!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Legal is aware of this and working on it.

Hang on a minute...

Looks a bit like blaming Moniker in order to throw up a smokescreen because the domain/forum owner won't deal with a complaint about infringed rights, in the first place...

* If I understand this right, someone complained to Moniker about what they say is an infringement of their rights, on a forum site? Is that right?

* This person approaches Moniker to find out a way to contact the owner of the forum domain because they can't get any response to their complaint from the owner of the forum site (ie the owner of the domain)? (BritishBulldog?). Is that right?

* Moniker then gives the owner of the domain (BritishBulldog?) 5 days to respond to the complainer, and respond to their complaint - without handing over to the complainer any personal details of the domain owner? Is that right?

* Moniker gives notice to the (non-responding) owner of the domain/forum (BritishBullgog?) that if they don't bother to respond to, and address, the complaint, then Moniker will make available the contact details of the domain owner (via WHOIS), so the complainer can contact the domain owner directly. Is that right?

I don't see a lot that's wrong with Moniker's position here...

It seems the real problem is that the domain/forum owner won't deal with a complaint on his forum - and now blames Moniker because they won't protect him from what may be an infringement of the complainer's rights....

Britishbulldog....WHY don't you just respond to, and deal with, the forum poster's complaint?

Then you'd have no problem with Moniker & their privacy policy.

could be right on that one mate !

i would like to express my opinion here, I use more than 8 Regs for my domains. I faced problems with some of them too, But its not necessary to just indirectly ruin reputation of a company like Moniker if you faced a certian issue, i know this issue can be a bit frustrating, i saw all your replies and you seem just wanting to make fusses about moniker, honestly the jrzeygirl was very helpful and told you to contact her directly, but you seems wanting to talk here, and make the problem just bigger.

Thats only my opinion not much :)

.

You presume alot obviously you are moniker's smokescreen, you seem to know a bit to much info, what deal you got with Bari and moniker?

Shame you got your facts wrong..if you would of read the post properly in the first place, there was no C&D that's my point,i asked for it and i never got it,they were trying turn my info out just on an email......and besides the fact is they have not followed a C&D protocol and obviously you don't know it either so before you go brown nosing around bari and moniker you need to get your facts right !

and the fact is this moniker's small print is a typical GD stunt, people rave about moniker but i bet they did not know the small print of "we can give your privacy info out at anytime with our discretion" and that's nothing to do with the C&D,if they wanna give your private info out to anybody and anytime they can........and you are happy with this ?
