to get back on topic, when will these new security measures and web based support become live Monte?

Do you see them saying everything is fixed? I don't.
Do you see them having done anything useful? I don't.
All I see is: please wait...

Let's see what happened after simple renewals that has not been fixed by support.
e.g. bluepixel.info is inactive! More domains are inactive!
Domains have different expiration dates in whois and different in control panel.
Trendy.info is still unlocked. More domains are unlocked!

Never received and email saying the .info problem is fixed.
And I haven't checked all my domains yet...
My account is a mess.

oh ok, I don't recall filling out any security questions

For account logins starting after Monday, November 12, 2007 you will be prompted to
select and provide answers to two secret questions. In the future, you will need to
answer both questions to be issued an automated password reminder. These questions
may also be used to confirm certain other activities for your account, or to verify
requests that are unusual based on your account history.

dvdrip - my support team explained to you that the issue you had was not with Moniker but with the .info registry. Afilias made an announcement last week about this issue and my support team did let you know. They have your issue into Afiliast support for help. Ther eis no reason to air out your frustration on a non moniker issue that involves the registry here.

They are on top of this and will report back to you once Afilias has their issues resolved.

This is not just Afilias problem. I will send you an email once I figure everything out in my account.

I am a little surprised that this information cannot be changed. Like passwords, it is possible for secret questions to be compromised as well.

I believe the secret questions and answers could not be changed currently. I'm sure they've given this issue their consideration. Hopefully this option will be provided in the near future.

Monte and Moniker people are great. I'm planning to transfer a lot more domains to Moniker. I've worked with many registrars, I know how a good registrar can make a big difference.

folks - this is very similar to online banking and similar high security systems.

Well thats great, but shouldn't we be being asked one of the security questions when we log-in, otherwise whats the point?

Am I missing something??

I believe in all these security precautions, Changing passwords often is a great way to protect your identity. I am sure we all have zillions of passwords.
Myself ,I use Roboform to keep track of these, works great & secure.(no, I do not receive any promotional rewards from them. Try them out, then you can change your passwords with no problem and keep track of the change.

I must admit though that a couple of the "secret Questions" offered in Moniker, are a secret to me. Like who was my first girl friend? what was my first teachers name? Like, I can't remember who my last girl was, let alone the first, she never mentioned her name :lol:

Were now nearing the end of January... Realistically, When do you expect it will be up and running? if at all.
