Please appraise the name mentioned above. It does have 72 links directed to it, so I assume it has some value.

All feedback is appreciated.

As I stated in another thread, just because a domain might have links it is not that necessarily valuable to reg. Don't waste your money on something that has "multiplicity" in syllyables and also has two words and is also obscure in meaning to common folk surfing the net. If you have a business model for "MorbidLinks.com" then all the more power, but, why not choose something simpler and logically correct when trying to develop or resell. "Morbid.com" or "Morbidity.com" would be better. Research before you register and you will save money.

Mizzoula,

I appreciate the comments, but the incoming links wasn't my only motivation for registering the name. I listen to some forms of underground music which were posted on the previous website and also have a few friends in death metal bands that are similar to bands listed there.

I was just wondering about a resell value, in case I decide to let it go. I did appreciate your response and would like some additional feedback.

You seem to have some very valid points Mazzoula. But incase you haven't noticed, one word .com's are a thing of the past, as far as availability concerns go. You seem to be pro .com. Nothing wrong with that! But if your not buying good .net's, .org's, info's and .biz, your missing out. I also have the name ClassicMotors.biz. Two word name, that I was offered $500.00. I paid $16.00 for a 2 year reg. I did not sell it, but was tempted. Go's to show, that valueability is in the eye of the beholder. If I mis-spelled something, please forgive me.

Good deal, then as I was essentially saying to your subsequent response is that if you have a business model for the name, then obviously the name will be of greater value to you than to a reseller.

Hi Gary, I understand the importance of other extensions. It goes beyond monetary value (regardless of what the dotcom bandwagon garners) may
hold in check. I have sold many dotnets in the past and also own "dotnets.net" so I realize interest in other tlds. I agree, Gary, the value lays ultimately with the one who is willing to pay, and I have paid for domains that others would value as $0 and have had it pay off. The cinch in the basket is when the payoff lays in the bank and not the ego.

In addition, I do NOT think one-worders are a division of the past. Try value of Morbid.com versus Morbidsite.com. Tell me the difference. As far as the .biz sale goes, Gary, I would have jumped on that, as the .biz extension is a form of niche market that a word such as "casino" akins to--not "classicmotors".

I meet him on yahoo chat. He restore's old cars. He actually gave me the idea to come up with ClassicAutos, because he loves classic cars. I might sell it to him, he lives about 20 miles away from me. He has worked on some of Jay Leno's cars. The key is to advertise. Not just on the internet, but word of mouth can go a long way.
