i got an offer via certifiedofferservice.com bid for $101.

i would never consider selling it at that price, this domain is worth a lot to me... however, everything has a price. And so too would my domain.

would it be ridiculous to reply back with a counter that is exponentially more than the offer? or is it best to simply ignore it?

what's the rule of thumb in such a position?

counter or ignore?

I guess if it is to counter, i should do it right away, so they see I'm active.

ps:I'm in no urgent need for the cash.

No big rush. Let them sweat it for a few days. If they really want it they'll still be there.

Yes, it's perfectly reasonable to counter with a substantially higher number. It's your domain, you have your price.

I know of a domain that had an initial bid gap ranging from $250 lowball to $50,000 response. It eventually sold at just over $17,000 after about two months of back-and-forth bidding. The buyer really wanted it for a specific purpose.

Thanks guys for the helpful advice...

Ya, the person is paying 19 in fees for a 101 bid, lol.

it appears as though i can only counter with a price of up to 25k. Otherwise I can just flat-out reject it. Also, it appears that I can't reject with just a message. If you are familiar, plz inform me if I am mistaken.

I'm sorry that I can not share the name as I have learned over the years how small the world can sometimes be, and would rather be safe than sorry.

thanks again for the tips
