IMO that's quite suspicious. The current whois owner wrote back :
There's no need, i just recieved an email from Moniker confirming the details;
I'll push the domain back, how would i do that? I'm going to have to contact my local police department, look's like i have been ripped off big style! But that's not your problem/fault.
Please advise on what to do next.
thanks

How much time had the thief to find that new owner and sell the domain?
I really doubt it was sold. The domain was stolen this morning. Still working on it.
This domain is strange - 4.7. I won auction on Snapnames for $10K, domain has been pushed etc., 5 days later I got email
"The seller of this domain notified us that this domain was mistakenly
listed for auction. You have been refunded the purchase price and the
domain has been returned to the seller."
Well OK, shit happens, is not first time...and now this..strange strange...
Hm I always wondered how THIS can happen...somehow I think that people always start to claim a "mistake" when it does not sell for the price they expected...Yes the domain was listed at Snap auction by mistake.

Do I understand it correctly that you were using a free email acct to secure
the ownership of your valuable domains?
Every newbie is warned about this.
You have been around long enough to have seen this happen a number of times before.
But, you continue to use a hotmail acct?
Any email acct can be hacked. Even the expensive ones.
And, any server can be hacked if you are hosting your own email accts.
But, using a free email acct is like taking candy away from a baby.
Extremely easy.
I keep asking around the industry if anyone has or knows of a super safe email service.
So far, the answer is "not really".
