I don't like the template at all, ugh. It's slowing me down.

One needs to add the following:

1) to the Quick Links, add the "Get Today's Posts" link (in addition to the existing Get New Posts"). Sometimes the cookie is wrong, and you need to see the past 24 hours of posts, instead of just new posts.

2) Add a "Mark All Forums Read" link, so we can reset our cookie.

Give it a litttle time. It's only been a few hours!

And of course, keep the suggestions coming! They are being listened to.

I guess the "Mark Forums Read" does exist -- was blinded and couldn't see it the first time. :)

My suggestion is that if you don't like the skin, show us an example of a skin you do like.

I personally like: http://forums.seochat.com/

It's simple, easy to navigate, and very easy to view the posts.

Is it just me or what? The current color scheme is EXACTLY the same orange and blue as the one before the upgrade; even the little red has always been there.

As for the "bolder" layout, it's more the vB 3.0 thingy with only minor modification. Of course, there are always better skins; but you may want to blame vBulletin for the new look indeed, as they have probably done some research and found that this kind of template would let most people down. LOL!

Well to be honest, I do not like the look of vbulletin 3.0 at all... If I were to buy a licence now, I would definetly go for 2.x.x

as beatz said an example of a skin i like is dnforum the way it used to be.

Why do they have to keep messing with it? The forum doesn't need new layouts all the time.

It's a vBulletin Upgrade to Ver. 3.0 for security and features - it's not "messing" - it's an upgrade!

the forum didn't need an upgrade. it was great the way it was. Everything doesn't always need to be upgraded to version 5 point whatever every time something new comes out. If it isn't broke don't fix it.

What makes you say it didn't need an upgrade?
Are you still using Windows 3.1? - I doubt it, most people have gone from 3.1 to Windows 95 to Windows 98 or XP, NT, 2000 or whatever.
Do you still play space invaders or ping pong or do you now use 3D interactive games?
Are you still on a black & white television or do you watch in colour and stereo sound?
Do you still use an old valve radio or do you have a Hi-Fi tuner, video recorder and DVD player?
Everything in technology evolves to produce better features and in computer terms that includes greater security for users and providers alike and helps to counter hackers who constantly strive to cause havoc.
It's just that it takes a bit of time to get used to things - initially we don't like it when things change, even for the better, but as we settle into using them we appreciate the benefits and make full use of them to our own advantage.
