Flickr: Photos from Lord Brar

It is expensive as hell but I really liked it. The whole office is up for a makeover so ignore anything except the new table (and me).

So what do you guys think?

Did you have it custom made? or did you make it yourself?...What kind of veneer is it made of?

I like the glass top, however I'm not sure if I would of rested the glass over the applied molding squares, you will get dust and bugs accumulating underneath. You also need to drill through the glass and install cord grommets to feed your wiring.....

The finish looks nice, I just would of used a lower sheen, a little too glossy for me.....Other than that, it looks real nice ;)

Don't see any computer but printer?

Spent all money for the desk? should sell the A/C, the chair and buy a new computer.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

It's pimpin'. Now go for an expensive chair.

Yup. I had got that about 2 years ago -- it went great with my old table but not this one. Will get a better chair soon.

Got it custom made -- It is real teak wood. As for the glass, yes it is smaller than what I ordered (to go against the edges) and is being changed on Monday. Thanks for the comments!

Precisely the reason why I invested in it -- to make an impression on people who visit the office. =) Thanks!

LOL. No, actually my laptop was in the other room while the table was being setup. And these pics were being taken at the same time -- see the sweat on my t-shirt?

As for selling the A/C, can't even imagine that man. I live in a desert where the temperature goes up to 50 Degree Centigrade (122 Fahrenheit). So I can live without a computer but not an A/C. Hah.

People perceive that the bigger your office and the bigger your desk, the higher is your hierarchy. And people feel more secure dealing with people who are successful -- common psychology. So it is also about client perception. =)

What really makes a desk is the slide hardware, hopefully the builder used good full extension drawer slides, such as Accuride or Blum Motion.
