Someone needs to open a domain store except ban names that no one wants or cares about (eliminate the crap) and also eliminate high prices that are unreasonable like $450,000 for some stupid name. Both of these crap senarios are what ruins ebay and afternic (along with shill or non-existent bidding). If someone opens a store with this model they will be successful.

Hey BDM,

NicheNames.Com :. Sounds good, but 'niche' is an awkward word to spell and read.

NicheNic.Com :. I would avoid using 'Nic' (Network Information Center) for a domain seller site unless you're offering registrar services.

DomainAllStars.Com :. Could be usable. My favorite of the bunch.

DamnGoodDomains.Com :. Nice! :D But too informal unless you want to casual theme your site.

I liked the idea of using the .com as part of the branding, so I bought

ButAny.com
Umpteenth.com (which I'll probably try to sell soon)

I also bought correctnames.com, but I've gone off that idea.

Nicright.com is the domain I can think of from your list. Though if your planning to make this as your business for long period of time. I suggest to search for easy, brandable and short domain name for it.

Nicright.com can be easily remember by domain investor but not retail customer , which is your main market. Register.com and domainname.com don't need to advertise to market the business, the domain name speak for it self.
Verisign.com and AfterNIC.com is hard to remember business name but they spent millions to advertise their business and they are very successful about it.

Cheers and good luck to you,
tw

"NicheNames.com" would be my inital pick, BDM. However, it wouldn't be my final choice. Depending on your theme/design thoughts, audience, etc. I would choose ----names.com or ---domains.com! I might even go with ---domainname(s).com. Stay away from techie-sounding "NIC" ("Nick") and URL (what's that?) wording within the name itself. My opinion, anyway ... hope it helps! PS. They're out there amongst the drops proll'y as I write. Merry and Good Luck.

I like DomainAllStars but consider these as an additional thrust to your adventure:

DomainOriginator.com
HotNameDomains.com (singular and plural)
LandMarkDomains.com (singular and plural)

I'd like your thoughts......

Re your post, DotComsOnly: Personally, I prefer DomainAllStars.com and NicheNames.com.
