There is nothing more rotten than to have a mailbox full notices indicating:

Namewinner: you have been outbid (yahoo.com)
This email is to inform you of an action taken on the NameWinner web site.

ACCOUNT ID: 000000

ACTION: you have been outbid
DOMAIN: yahoo.com
BID: $25
TIME STAMP: 1234567890

It hurts - over and over with each notice!

Good luck,
William

Feel free to PM me feedback and i will pass it onto the people responsible for NW.

FYI there is no cheating going on, If I or any other Dotster employee bids on anything we have to pay the same as anyone else (and we can't see what other people are bidding, only one person can see that info).

Bad thing is the grabber improvements are working as it seems to be grabbing three times as many names as before and it just grabbed two names for me that I put in as tests, reclines.net and topknots.net, oh well I guess I will find a use for them :)

Namewinner: you have been outbid (yahoo.com)

Out of all the bugs that could exist....phantom shilling?

Wouldn't it be a conflict of interest for Namewinner employees to bid on names? That would be like going to an auction and having the owner of something big against you knowing the whole time they will not be out any money, but only drive the price up to what they think is fair.

There definately must be some sort of a flaw in the system. I have been outbid on at least 30-40 names since they reopened. Many of those were renewed or grabbed months ago.

I don't dare to bid on those that have yet to drop, I might get outbid right away and they still have some time to go before dropping. Maybe better to wait until the last minute or something like that. Something is not right here...

You can bid in any names you want nomatter when they expire.
If you still have a bid on domains that have been renewed just delete them from your purchase list!

I have been a big fan of namewinner. They have picked up some decent names for me so, I am still a fan. I have been biting my tongue through their rude and amateurish downtime.

Now, they're back. Hooray???

I loaded in about 40 new names that I have been gathering while they were closed for renovations. Loaded them into my buy list via the new bulk loading tool. Great.

Now the bad news: I had to MANUALLY, ONE BY ONE add each one to my watch list. What the hell is up with that???

Okay, was still a fan up to that point.

NOW, just checked my list of about 80-100 high bids from my high bid list...guess how many are listed in my high bid list...wait for it...4. FOUR F*$&ING NAMES OUT OF NEARLY 100 HIGH BID NAMES.

Now what am I supposed to do? Hey, namewinner, there's a chapter in this book that you'll be reading soon...it's called Chapter 11.

Get you act together.

True, but don't you find it odd that someone would bid months or even years before they expire? Also, in all cases for me, the domains were either expiring this month, last month, or a few a months ago.

I have about 150 domains in a list I would kill for!
Sometime next week I will bid on all off them just for fun!

Does somebody have a reliable email contact at NameWinner they could share? (You can email it to me if you prefer not to post it here).

I still can't get into my NW account, and I'm getting "Not the high bidder" notices for names that I already own... I want to see just how messy the mess is!

Thanks.
