I was wondering the opinions of where people feel this extension is going. I personally like the extension but wasn't sure what others think. Do you think prices will increase, decrease, or stay the same in the domain aftermarket?

I think the net's prices still the same in the next 1/2 years.
I love .net and .org too but I understood with the experience a rule...if you want make big money in domaining you need to invest in .com

My personal point of view.

.net is important as a more affordable alternative to .com. Additionally, with the generics, the .com may be developed making the .net needed and extremely valuable to the right end user.

I think the value of .net will increase - especially with 1 & 2 word generic category killers.

Thanks for the feedback. Have also never heard anyone think the value of the extension will go down.

I feel that the ext has been stagnating somewhat. But good keywords remain a valeur sûre.

Good keywords in com/net/org retain value. I think input.net sold recently for almost $5k ? That was cheap.

I have grabbed a number of single-word .net in the past few months that I wouldn't have imagined would go for less than $100, but they did. Domainers are not buying .net like they used to and customers are paying a little less for them and are slightly more difficult to sell.

Never buy domains with reselling to domainers in mind, unless you pay really bargain prices.
