Hi all,

Whats the forecast for the new.net extention... worth anything in time??

Surely Domains like these must have some value?.......

Sex.shop
Swingers.club

Your views please.

Cheers,

NO No ANd NO.. I believe it has gooton so bad they have even shut there forum down.. can someone verify that?

It's Sex.shop.new.net NOT Sex.shop ..IF it could appear in a search engine AS Sex.shop then there value would increase..

I am also someone would has owned 30 New.Nets (in the beginning) and has also sold a few new.nets ..

My advise is IF you can verify that there "quick" search engine is indeed bringing in traffic and you plan on using a domain ..go for it..

If you want as investmenst ..stay away..

If you want to "speculate" on a couple names..

Well Sex.Shop is certainly one you would want ...

One thing that I noticed that's strange is when you "refresh" the new.net home page. The number of "internet users" using the new.net plug in jumps by 200, each time you refresh. Try it.

Actually not really a scam as much as it is a busness plan that didnt pan out because the Search engines would play along..they couldnt even BUY there way in.

New.Net domains are nothing more than sub-domains.. New.Net either through partner ISP's or a small download allows "visitors to NOT see the "new.net" extension.. a site actually looks like Sex.shop in your browser bar.. the problem is with the search engines.they will NOT the short URL SEX.Shop for submission..only the long URL SEX.SHOP.NEW.NET ... big difference.. if you are searching a SE and see SEX.SHOP thats an eye catcher and increases it's value a bit...if it walks like a duck..looks liike a duck OK we can call it duck.. But when NEW.NET says you can be a duck but everyone see's SEX.SHOP.NEW.NET they know you're not ..a duck :D

New.net? What a disappointment. They had so much support from day #1, then went for the ppc business instead of running a real registry.

They shut down the "message board" 'cause after they banned all the naysayers, there were only 3 or 4 idiots left over there, and that includes the dickhead who works there.

Stay Away.

After you own Sex.Shop.

New.net can easily selling *.sexshop TLD.
So, you can have bornwild.sexshop, etc.

Got what I mean ?

Well it was fun while it lasted :). All the management founders of New.net are gone now. That says a lot, without saying anything.

Rest in peace New.net. Thanks for the memories.

the secret good thing about new.net is the traffic from their quick search.

100-150 visits a day per domain. it's very easy to get back the money you spent for the reg

Just let me reiterate here: New.net is a piece of sh-t. They porked their customers, bigtime. The fools (including me) who bought those nonsense names only wish they had the money back in their pockets today.

Oh did they f-ck their customers, especially the ones who bought in from day #1.

I only hope I am on the Social Security Claims Board when the turkey who ran their message board puts in a claim.

just looked at their homepage.
They adjust the language to your country.
BUT ... they seem to have translated the
text with babelfish (software translation)
at least for german it reads VERY funny

Everyone seems to think that because New.net (the company) has it's problems, that the 4LDs they sell are worthless. However, wouldn't you agree, from a RESELLER standpoint, that the new expired 4LD domains they are selling are at least worth prospecting?

Case in point: I just picked up home.video from their expired registry. I would imagine there would be a large market to RESELL this to someone as an alias for their website. What say you all?
