But seriously, I think that something positive will turn up from this "tough love" towards Sedo; I strongly believe that it's best to showcase something while it's ongoing. Sedo reacted quickly for the most part.
However, beta-testing means releasing a range of features to a small group of users for experimental use, before going live.
The beta-testers should try their best to do the worst! They have to attempt to break the code, evaluate the visuals, contribute to a whiteboard as if their lives depended on it.
I had some hefty bootcamp training in product management in the past and I can definitely say that someone needs to step in and call things by their names, or risk project failure.
