We aren't fans of numeric domains in general but considering the growing market demand mainly coming from Chinese domainers, we're starting to see a good investment opportunity in this new niche.

All NNNNN.com are gone since a long time; since few months, many domainers are starting to grab the best NNNNNN.com so it's the right time to invest few bucks in this emerging niche.
We've noticed that all NNNNNN (let's shorten them to 6N for simplicity) including 3 repeated consecutive digits are gone and the dropping ones are actively backordered and often won in the middle/high $xxx each
We're deeply studying the development of this market and we're noticed the following recent sales, just to share few with you:

Yes, it's too hard to hand reg them but you've still a chance to pick up the best remaining 6N incl. 3 "8" in random order (the best investment opportunity of the moment in my opinion if we talk of something you might still hand reg).

All 6N incl 3 random "8" without 0 at start and no "4" are now gone (we've picked up the few left ones few weeks ago, all dropping ones are usually grabbed quickly by Chinese domainers).

There's still a big availability of 6N incl 3 "8" and a "4" or an starting in "0" (with no "4") but many domainers are slowly starting to grab them too, see below:

*Reg'd today (08/01/2015):
098884.com
348889.com
938884.com
798884.com

*Reg'd yesterday (07/31/2015):
548885.com
844887.com
078828.com
089488.com
584988.com

...We've collected a list of the ones still available for hand reg at the time I'm writing and we're offering it for free just PM your email to get your copy.
Why are we doing this ? We'll also send you a copy of our updated domain price list (at absolutely no obligation, of course) :)

I see a little bit different logic behind it.

The best combos are obviously:
<RRR>NNN.com & NNN<RRR>.com (where R means repeating digit, N being random digit)

There is just 10,000 of <RRR>NNN.com domains and 10,000 of NNN<RRR>.com domains. Same rule as for NNNN.com domains - there is also just 10,000 of those. Considering 1,000,000 6N domains, it's pretty cool pattern, because it's just 2% of all possible combinations + it's pretty straightforward + the value is obvious.

I totally agree with you regarding the best combos made by 3 repeated digits, unfortunately there's a growing demand towards this specific niche and it's not easy acquiring them at fair reseller prices, not in bulk at least.

We've counted around 14,300 possible combos of 6N incl 3 "8" in random positions (incl 3 consecutive "8", 6N with 4/+ "8" and numbers starting in "0" or containing "4" at least once).
Even if repeated digits will always have an higher value, we suppose the demand for 6N having multiple repeated "8" will continue to grow as well.

There're only few hundreds of available 6N incl 3 random "8" but all of them start in "0" or contain at least a "4" ...

Repeating 8s aren't the only combination that have value to the Chinese. There are many, many more desirable combinations.

I'm a firm believer that 6n.coms will have value in the coming years; thus my purchase of 110 of them. I suspect mine will go from reg fee to low xxx rather quickly (in the scope of things).

I can already see random 6n without any pattern are going for low xx
Will soon see increase in demand with pattern numbers.

I agree that 6N are picking up in value i was able to sell 2 of them. Many of the good patters are taken there would be a slow shift in the prices pattern wise.

I have actually been doing some scanning of 6N.com's over the past few days..Out of the 1 million total combinations I checked around 30-40% of them. I then cut the list down to only Chinese premium numbers (without 0,4,6)...When it comes to only Chinese premium numbers (1,2,3,5,7,8,9) there are zero available which have 3 or 4 repeating numbers (like 222, 888 or 7777, 8888), but there are around 24k available. Below is a link to download the list if you want..

Note: There are over 24k in this list. It's available in TXT format below..
