Gd. I was indeed locked out, as though I requested the system to send me emails to verify my email, nothing was sent. I requested it 5 times and still nothing was sent. It's very possible others may be having the same problem. You might want to check to see how many members have not verified their email address' after the password change was in effect.

Same thing happened to me last year when I changed my email address. Never received a verification email, so I couldn't access the forum for a week or so (until my support tickets were read ). Must be a glitch in the matrix.
