Just got this news flash today from SnapNames.
On January 25, 2003, central registry supervision of domain names ending in ORG will be transferred from VeriSign Global Registry to Public Interest Registry (PIR). We have been advised that PIR is considering changes to the procedures that now govern deletions of expired ORG domain names and, accordingly, will suspend deletions of expired ORG names for a period of two to three months.
Your subscription records indicate that you have a currently active SnapBackî subscription in place for an ORG domain name and, further, that the subscription is due to expire within the period of PIR's deletion moratorium.
Accordingly, SnapNames has extended, free of charge, your affected SnapBack subscription
