Nora Nanayakkara wins Non Executive Director position at Nominet
Nora Nanayakkara has successfully been elected by Nominetâs membership as a Non Executive Director (NED) of the organization. Non Exec Directors are elected every two years at Nominet and this year, three seats were up for election among eight candidates, two of whom were existing NEDs up for re-election.
As a Non Executive Director, Nora brings experience in online business, digital media and international domain markets. She is familiar with business operations within both New Media and the not-for-profit sector. She provides business consultancy to UK charities through Pilotlight and working at Sedo/Adlink Media over the last six years has given her valuable insight into both the primary and secondary international domain markets.
Nora is also an active member of Nominet's own policy advisory body (PAB), since being elected in June 2008. Her formal education includes an MBA in International Business in addition to a BA from University College Cork, Ireland and on-the-job training in media communications and strategic financial modeling.
