Love the scorpions. I was listening to a bunch of their stuff the other day. The zoo is a great song too. Right now I am listening to some Iron Maiden. I wish I would have caught them when they came to Montreal this summer. I had no idea they were touring.

A half a century long musical renaissance seems to have stopped in the late 90s. The last decade or so has certainly seen some good music, but the industry is no longer overflowing with legendary talent like it once was. I wonder if free filing sharing is the culprit...

I gave up playing violin. Sold my finest at Skinner auction a few years ago. A circa 1780-1800 Klotz. I still have something like 20-24 violins. I have already given two away to kids that wants to learn (I made sure they were already enrolled in lessons before donating). They were excellent student violins. The remainder I may try to sell. Three are great early Czech Master John Juzek makes. The others are German and Italian makes, with the exception of a handcrafted and inlay Ohio folk art make.

I also have a cello that I swore I was going to learn but have never played it. It is a brand new Stentor.
