I also received it, Problem with the spam Ideais ....The person is indivdual isng each email..

Requesting a different specific namein each email.. so unless there is an automated way of doing this for each domain ...Either they are seriousely looking at some names OR they are incredible bored ..

I mean how many of these by hand could you do..or want to do..just to get a few adse- clicks ? !

I emailed them back ..what the hell ..
I'm usually pretty good about spotting the nonsense.. could be wrong.. probably am this time.. but lets see...

HelloThere said:
Hmmm.... Seems like a great way to generate some traffic on your website.....

Maybe that's all this is. You contact a large group of people in a way that makes them think what you are sending is not spam, and that you are offering something they want (in this case, to buy their domain name) and they check out your site to see who you are. Then the hits on your website would go through the roof. If you've got ppc or something that pays you for displaying an ad, then you'd make some decent money too. Dude, that's pretty ingenious..... Underhanded, but ingenious....

Kinda wish I'd thought of it first.....

that's what i was thinking...... :goofy:

It seems to me like it may be a stitch up, or a clever little advertising campaign! All dues to the emails originator he/she has formed a nice little storm!

I received two sets of 3 emails as well. The domains were .info, .biz, and .us.

I guess it can't hurt to answer for one of the names I might consider selling.

Oh Yeah - I got that email too all right. It came from someone called Kevin. I checked the WHOIS and it was Yakov.

Blink Blink, I gather you have quite a reputation here as a buyer / broker. The thread below puts all of it to waste. I think you owe an explanation to those who requested it.

It is simple! Either you did it or you did not.

Hello,

I have received email from Kevin Lynch who claimed to be Marketing Director of Creative Media. He showed interest in buying my domains Fingering.info , Fingering.biz and PregnancyTest.us

Since the emails came from a gmail.com address and not from a Creative Media email address, the wording in all three emails were similar and all were sent within 1-2 minutes from each other I have my doubts about it.

Anyone else received such emails recently ?

Thanks,
URLtrader

PS: Please appraise Fingering.info, Fingering.biz , PregnancyTest.us

I don't respond to loosers.
If you think that people assosiated with CreativeMedia.com are sending spam, then you are plain fools.

For those loosers out there I'm flashing some of our recent acquizitions:

abc.us
fashion.us
perfume.us
casting.us

Adult edited out

mesothelioma.us
breastenhancement.us
plasticsurgery.us today's purchase
resellerhosting.us
artshop.us

This is less than 1% of my portfolio of over 2000 domains.
As far as .biz and .info offers, talk to Kevin, he likes those. he probably got some today.

Now run back to your emails and put reasonable prices on your domains while you still have a chance.

Those kids that label ligitimate offers from serious party they've been awaiting as "spam" should go to school.

engaged in the sending of mass unsolicited generic emails with an unknown and rather suspicious motivation behind the whole thing.

This is the way Yakov sniffs out cheap deals on websites. This isn't the first time either. Most of the names he has bought lately have been $4.95 reg fee pickups.

I never accused you of SPAM. All I said was an explanation was due. I really don't care if you own a BILLION domains, with a trillion dollar valuation. But, if you read your post (You were quick to edit that post), This directly from my dnforum email. You should not use profanity even if it looks like **** off. A little courtesy goes a long way.

Now **** off.

The rest of us did, especially when we didn't receive any email responces back regarding the domains that were inquired about. He is sniffing for any cheap deals and that's basically it.

Perhaps they won't label those emails as spam (even though it was unsolicited) if they were replied to. These were no ordinary generic viagra emails. They were highly targeted solicitations. Common business decency dictates that a reply to respondents was deserving. It is not all about the $$$$$, my friend. It is never too late to learn good communication skills even if I assume that high school teacher did a poor job on the students at hand.

If you think my reputation can be put to waste by these clowns, you are kidding yourself.
Why? Just because I don't usually do business with smaller guys who started, participate and being influenced by this thread. I do business with bigger guys... like Adam - the owner of this forum with whom we completed transactions of overall worth around $500,000, with Chris Chena, with Colin from DomainDeluxe and many others top players on the field. People who are important to me and who I value know who I am and what I worth and they are unlikely to pay attention to BS like this.

I'm getting bigger and bigger. 1.5 years in the biz and already have over 2000 domains and all key contacts one can possibly have and opinions of loosers most of whom are in this biz for over a decade and achieved no_thing don't concern me.

Have a good night. :)
