Hey all -

I have a slew of adult names that together generate 3000 uniques per day (almost exclusively from type-ins) and $8000 per month revenue. (Full list of names is viewable at http://www.ebess.com)

dnpowerful and I have been emailing back and forth, and he suggested that I post here to get comments from others regarding my decision to decline his offer of $200K for ALL of the domains. I guess some of you will probably think that I am crazy :)

My thinking was that, tempting as the offer to get $200K in cash is, it would only make sense for me to sell all of them for that price if I was in dire need for the cash up front -- which I am not.

I'm not saying that he made me a bad offer -- just that it is becoming apparent to me that it makes more sense to just hold onto the domains than to try to sell them.

After all, I can make the $200K in a few years with no effort all on my part. And then I get to continue making $200K every couple years, possibly for the rest of my life. And frankly there is the potential to make alot more money with those domains than I have been if I actually put any effort into it -- a table of banner ads isn't exactly the best way to get clickthroughs and convert your traffic.

I welcome the thoughts of others from this forum on this matter, as, I'm sure, does dnpowerful (since it was his idea for me to post this here :))

Cheers -

I guess I'd like to know what people think of my decision to turn down the $200K.

Given how much money I already make from them, at what price would I be crazy to not sell them?

And if having the cash up front is not a huge need for me at this point, am I correct in deducing that I am much better off financially not selling them?

you probably have a 50% click therough rate ! LOL

Well you may not need the money but I do... send any extra me traffic to Posters.Biz.. :)

It's easy. Sell, or don't sell. Only you know the answer (look at the books and figure it out).

Good move dont sell your right about the long term picture. You know life is good when a couple of 8$ domains make you $8000 a month with hardly no work.

hehe -- sorry, I should have warned you all to not click on any of the actual domain names listed on ebess.com because yes, if you do not sign up for a subscription, you will be sent to popup hell (but it IS safe to go to ebess.com itself -- that is just a list of the adult domains without any advertising at all)

gotta say I resisted the popup thing for a few years, and then when i finally decided to experiment with it my earnings went up 50%.....so the popups stay (on my adult sites that is -- I don't use popups on my mainstream site because I hate them as much as you do..)

Seems odd to post in a forum a discussion on a 200k either as a go or no go.

Why is it odd? People post asking for appraisals all the time. Asking whether you should accept an offered amount isn't very different from that...

Also, let me reiterate that it was the person who made the offer who suggested that I post this here (including his handle). I never would have disclosed such details of private negotiations under other circumstances!

By the time you reach that level of business, you should know your stuff.

And if I don't, should I not be able to ask for help in the forums just because I should know this stuff already? I've only recently discovered this forum -- isn't this the right place to start learning this stuff?

Just because I scored on registering some awesome names does not instantly make me a maven on the domain reselling biz...

btw, nice thread on 'tips from winfreecash' -- just making my way through it right now :)

Bad decision if you turned down 25 months of income upfront. You could buy a real business with 200k

Let me repeat -- AGAIN -- that it was DNPowerful who actually asked me to start this thread, with details.

DNPowerful -- can you please reply here to confirm this?

Now the stock market maybe....should be getting close to bottom..

I still like guarenteed 8K a month and expanding the little "porn" empire..I mean if thats what you're into ..

either way..the money is working..

Thats an unfair statement, I don't think you will find me arguing here in any thread ever. She said she welcomed opinions, I gave mine. That simple.
