Let me see if i understand. You guys were friends. You were doing business together (which is a mistake to begin with as that will ruin your friendship). One of you was researching and compiling drop lists, while the other was doing what? Buying the names? You then decided who gets what. At one point you came across the two domains in question and one of you stated that he wanted them for some reason. The other wanted them as well, so you solved it by one of you making some sort of promise in return for the chance to get these 2 domains. The other accepted the promise based on your friendship although the 2 names were dear to him.

If this is the case, then whoever made the promise must keep it no matter what the relationship is or is not right now. If he can not keep the promise, he should return the names.

Please tell us what the promise was the was made in exchange for the 2 domains in question and state if that promise was broken or not. Thats all that matters. Friends or no friends, i bet at the time one of you promised he did not say, "i promise that as long as we are friends..." as that would now be the only exception. If a promise was simply made to last for all time, then if it was broken, the names should be returned.

Thank you for your comment, com.

The promise for codename.com is abstract, that is, he said he would absolutely do something for the domain which I can be satisfied.

If he admit he is a man who breaks a promise, it's acceptable to return only "codename.com". (I hope not though.)
If he still want to be a man who keep a promise, I require the 2 domains, which only I can be satisfied.

By the way, I almost missed but it's interesting he said in the previous message;

> He does not know the obligation. (Not SAMURAI)

toho also doesn't know an obligation at the moment.
HIS common sense looks uncommon, actually.

Too bad.
You seems to almost decide living as a lier.

I don't think people are fooled by your devious messages.
You have already admitted there was a promise.
You said you won't do it because "I" destroyed the friendship.
(In my opinion, you did first. But no meaning to figure out it.)
Anyway, you are saying "it's common sense".
I think, however, the com's comment is "common" common sense.
Do you disagree it or just try to escape the storm?

Listen, toho, I'm sure one of your friends --- I'm glad he says
I am a friend of him --- is watching this thread.
I understand well he feels sorry about the situation but he is a fair man.
If I would write a fictional story, he can point out the lie.
Of cource, I can show anybody all of emails (of cource, Japanese) between
you and me if somebody wish.
Actually, I don't remove emails (except SPAMs).
If somebody can read Japanese, they can read what you said in public place
in http://www.hostingfan.com/domain/past/5.html .
How can I write a fictional story?
I don't want to bother the friend, but I can ask him if you wish.
Of cource, if you could point out what part is a "story", DO it now.

Now I doubt you love this community.
I think people can't say lies so much in a community if they love the community.
I guess you might leave here to hold the domains.

I also doubt you think it's important to human relationship.
I guess you might break the relationship to people who don't support you blindly
to hold the domains.

It's your life?
It's your freedom?

Don't try to obscure the issues with devious messages any more.
Don't betray the friend and others any more.
How much you try to obscure, the fact is still there.
Now, return the domains.
You have no choice to clean up your act.

Poor Ohno.

You can not understanding why I wrote this.

http://dnforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29250

Absolutely disgraceful.
I did not want strong damage you.
But no way.

***************** mohno wrote ***********************
1) Please write here who is a gay you mentioned once in my site.
I'm talking about the message #866 in http://www.hostingfan.com/domain/past/3.html .
More accuracy, he wrote "he must be a gay."
So, just post who is he.
****************************************************

This question is wrong. His malicious attack.
I did not wrote "he must be a gay."

I said "His business is usually smart and cool. It seems guy."
He did not pick up the small nuances in this word.
May be he do not have cool friends.
Even he did not enter hot night clubs in weekend.
Because doorman do not permit him enter the clubs.

********************* mohno wrote *******************
2) Please return codename.com and utamaro.com.
Once you said that you can do anything if you can.
It's time to do.
Please return the domains to me.
****************************************************

My answer is no.
I said, " One day, I will help something, when you need my help."
After that, I gave you NewProject.com but I think not enoght so just 10% I did.
I did not do something 90% yet. I feel.
Future, I want do something, if I can. I still remember.
But I did not promise returen domain name back.

Utamaro.com do not have any problem.
Situation:
After he agree give codename.com to me, but he changed his mind and he brake promise one time.
We did discuss more. Took a lot of times.
Finally, He agreed give me codename.com Also he said me sorry and he pushed one domain to my account. (eNom)
I do not know what domain he pushed over a day. He pushed utamaro.com
We spend lot of times about this.

I do not want answer his wacky thread.
Because he usually self-advantageous his wrote.
Even I did not receive any mail from him about this matter.
Suddenly appeared and doing funny business.
Why "Open Letter" ?
This is privately matter.
Loony.

I write all now, so I will out of this shame thread.

1) Actually, "It seems a guy" is meaningless because gregr is obviously a man so that it must be a mistake.
Anyway, you wrote "gay" not "guy".
I still believe "It seems a gay" (or "he must be a gay") is not pure praise phrase and you should say only "his business is usually cool." to keep politeness in the community. No other members are saying such thing. It was not a main topic but I couldn't stand your attitudes at that time as the operator of the community. Actually, it's the reason of breaking our friendship.
But if you still think it doesn't matter, I don't have any further comment on this. We just think differently.

2) Yes, we spent a lot of time about "codename.com".
It's really unwilling to do for me.
If you have the email of June 28, 2002 13:40(JST), i.e., the last message about the domain, you find that you still said "I will do a obligation for the domain. If you want even UQ.com, I give you it because it's possible to do." (If you lost the email, I can forward it.)
There was no specific obligation. I agree that you didn't promise to return the domains. Anyway, I was not aware that you thought "newproject.com" was 10% of the obligation. It's first time to hear from you. Actually, I can't accept it as 10% of the obligation.

toho, people don't care if a promise will be done when having good friendship. However, we are not now.
Now I want to return the 2 domains. You have to do because it's possible to do.

>Anyway, you wrote "gay" not "guy".

Misspelling GUY -> GAY.

2) > If you want even UQ.com, I give you it because it's possible to do."

Yes, I wrote. I could, but we did not do at that time.

>I can't accept it as 10% of the obligation.

Your impression. 99% , 1%. not so important.
Can not appraisal correctly.

>Now I want to return the 2 domains.
No.
All things have changed for absurd situation.
You make by yourself.

>You have to do because it's possible to do.
I hope, one day I will do something for you.
But now, I do not want do anything for you.
Because I am not very happy about your behavior.
Defy common sense.

I thought I was the only one who knew GregR was gay. I guess the secret is out. :)

Anyway..... Mohno and Toho are both people I like and respect - and even during their disagreement - they show more class than most people do when arguing. For a lot of people - this would have turned into nonstop foul language - and a much more disturbing thread. For these two gentlemen - despite the language barrier - they handle themselves much more calmly - and remain under control.

I'm not sure what it says about Japanese VS American culture - but these guys fight in a more dignified (and even entertaining) manner than a lot of people I know. (and after 8 months of moderator here - believe me - I know)

I have much respect for both Mohno & Toho - and this has not changed that. I just hope that a 'middle ground' can be reached so both parties can be happy - or at least satisfied.

I understand MO :)

Still though - you both handle yourselves (your language - attitude towards other members - etc.) in a way that is respectful - and very non-threatening - even in the heat of battle. I have much respect for that.

Now.... I just want to learn Japanese so I can read the gossip at your forum. :D
