Hi all,

This is not domain-related.

Now, I sold something on Ebay for 400$

The buyer got the item but claims it was damaged and not as described.

I doubt that but I gave him a 150$ refund afterall.

After that refund he files for a full charge back and won't send me back the item. PayPal is of no help.

I've had this before. But this guy is just the biggest d*ck there exists. He keeps laughing with me how stupid I am and how smart he is...

Tried to call him at home but he won't answer.

Is there anything I can do? Does anyone know some lawyer who can send him a nice letter (just to scare the sh$t out of him?)

Let me know if anyone has experiences with this.

thanks

Send his communications (emails, chat logs) to Paypal to show what he's doing?

Did you give him the partial refund through the original transaction or a seperate transaction?

If the same, he can only get the $250 back.

If seperate, you may be out $550 and the item.

He only got 250$ then. So I'm out the 400$ he paid and the item.

PayPal is of no help. The money is gone and I'll never see it back. Just want to make his life as miserable as I can.

Stealing from other people and laughing afterwards in your face, hard to take.

Yea that's bullshit.

The first thing I would do is post all his personal info in this thread so it gets indexed and follows him around forever.

Then we'll see whose laughing.

Why not forward the conversations to Paypal? It shows intent to deveive.

You also have his information, file a police report, after all, he stole what you were selling. Tell him either send back what you sent him or pay for it, or else you'll go to the police

If it was something physical, you have his address.

PayPal allows the buyer to get the refund and keep the prodoct without any requirement it be returned. In fact, they will not even ask buyer to send it back. Hard to believe but last time I checked it was the policy.

P.S. They will not look at email or message conversations on grounds it could be doctored up.

I'm sure where the OP is there are still laws against taking something without paying for it which will trump Paypal's policy in any case.

The OP has the person's name and shipping addess. If they included tracking then they can prove it was delivered.

The OP also has an email chain proving that the buyer's intent was to defraud him of a $400 product.

I don't know about where the OP is but I'm pretty sure here in the USA it would be a very fast civil suit.

Correct. They don't care. It's just ridiculous how easy it is to file a charge back. You always win.

I have it happen before. I even think some buyers look for auction that can be misinterpreted. Once there is confusion - they file a charge back.

But this guy is a real d*ck, no other word for it.

If anyone knows a lawyer that can send him a nice email. I'd love to see his response.

I've been think to start a simple blog with his name etc. and get it indexed. But then again, it's only 400$ and these guys know it.

I swore I never will use Ebay or PayPal. To hell with them.
