Where is Freddy today? Hours and eurodns website has been down and they still have to submit their list?

No no, no service, no money ! Money back to everybody eurodns or we just quit using your services forever.

Who does agree?

They MIGHT have shutted down their 80 html port for more bandwidth to register .eu names, anyway, the site is back up now?

I would suggest you to write email to Freddy and try to solve the issue instead of complaining in the different forums.

ItalianDragon,
I can understand your frustrations. I am in the same boat.

Freddy has more to gain by getting us the domains and a lot to loose by not getting us the domains. Let him do his job. Wait till the dust settles.

Although I must say it would be nice of (and for) him to post a short message in EuroDNS home page or over here just for the sake of peace of mind of all his customers.

Me....I am not going to bother him right now.

I'm in the same boat too... I only decided to give eurodns a go because I saw Freddy on the forum and a lot of people seemed to be recommending eurodns.

However, it turns out that, for whatever reason, they were unable to secure the few domains I pre-regged with them, so I'll be asking for a full refund... but fairs fair... I'm not going to spoil other people's chances by hassling them on what is probably the busiest day of their lives!

Tomorrow however is another day...

I am sure that refund will be given normally from Eurodns . You don't have to afraid of that.

If they got the names or not , that's another story.

All the registrars , are busy today in what it seems succesful start (nearly 1 million till now), without the remaining sunrise applications.

I wrote it here because I did not want to bother them today as well but I reckon I read in their website that refund will be given through credit for other purchases and I`m not happy with that because after all those claims and after all that advertising around the forums, than they can`t say like in Sunrise that "in the first minutes we had some problems".....here it`s 13 hours and I still do not get a damn e-mail to know what`s going on plus the whois is possible only via other tools, forget eurid or the eurodns website which collapsed very soon.
Anyway if the past teachs. Next Landrush I`m not using them.

this is getting even funnier.....

In your orders you "valued" (for them when they charge your credit card for sure) customer you can read this now:

Due to the exceptionnal amount of data we had to process due to the .EU Landrush, we will need the next few days to sort out all the new domain names properly. They should appear on your account next Tuesday at the latest. In selected cases, some of the domains you have pre-registered may not be available, either because they are in a specific “pending” status or were registered by someone else. We will inform you of the status in the next few days and, in the latter case, we will recredit your account of the sums corresponding to the taken domain name(s). You can lookup your domain names one by one on www.whois.eu

© EuroDNS 2005 | Terms & Conditions | Impressum

NEXT FEW DAYS ???
The did not even update the copyright..........it`s 2006 not 2005 from a few months.......

I would like to put at the kind attention of EURODNS that in this business you can NOT wait let`s say hours....but here they ask days!
They protect their business, well I protect mine. Money back please.

Don't "worry", according to their TOS they will refund you the money (minus the 10% skim) if you specifically write to them and request it, but they will return it to you after a whopping 120 days hold (while, in meantime, they make money with your money.) Of course they never told you that when they were soliciting business from you. What a bunch of cunning foxes Eurodns are!

You have to wait four months, because apparently they waited four months when they were taking money from your credit card.

The 120 day hold shouldn't be necessary because if someone wanted to dispute a charge EuroDNS can turn around and say the charge was already refunded. I don't see a need to hold it the 120 days, but those who purchased names should have read their TOS. You had to agree to them when pre-ordering your names, so you can't complain.

If you want your money back sooner just dispute it with your credit card company. Once EuroDNS receives many chargebacks I am sure they will think twice before holding the funds 120 days.

My biggest problem with them is that they kept showing names as being 'available' and everytime I regged them they were'nt hence keeping my money. This kept happening over and over again. If they don't refund my money. I will do a chargeback! They did not deliver there end of the bargain in terms of having there systems.

hi, I read most of the posts here in this tread.
first of all, sorry that I was not available in this forum during the landrush. Normally I should be, you are right. I was answering emails and worked also partwise with the support. Refunds will be done, monday, tuesday to your account. I know that I promised that the refund will be done into your account in the same second as soon the domain is taken, this wasn´t possible because of the high load, sorry again! My fault! We started already a while ago with the refunds from the sunrise. every single request needs to be checked. We do our best, it will be faster as after .es landrush! For sure. Please be sometimes a bit more patiened with us we are a bit younger as the old guys.

Thanks for the clarification Freddy. We know you've been busy with the landrush, so this seems fair to those.

For those who may complain even if the refunds were issued on the weekend they likely will not go out until Monday anyways.

I think EuroDNS has done a great job. What is everone expecting? Been waiting sooo long for this .eu ( I pre-registered my first ones back in early 2002 ). Now everybody wants their money back immediately.

The company I pre-registered my .eu with will only by the beginning of next week let their customers know if they succeded and with which domains.
This way I can´t even confirm 100% that/or if I got any of those desperately wanted .eu domains.
Patience is the word.
Just give the registrars a couple of days to sort everything out.

Anyhow, starting the landrush on a Friday was (from my point of view) pretty stupid, but then again, a lot of things were set up stupidly by Eurid...

No you're absolutely right... I think everyone including myself are still fuming over the premium names we thought we would have gotten not realizing that for some names there were hundreds if not thousands of people trying to get 1 name. I have to say that there were problems, but I think considering the situation that eurodns and its members on this board have conducted themselves very professionally. Kudos to eurodns and staff.

I'm a bit confused. Does this mean you'll be refunding back to my credit card account, seeing as I went with you specifically for .eu domains, but you missed all of them?

If you got any of them, I'd be happy to keep an account open with you, but you didn't get any at all so it seems a bit unfair.

I think it means they will give us a credit note and then 4 months down the line they will reimburse us some of the money ( jollie decent not) and take a percentage for doing nowt.

Funny how it takes them so long and yet other registrars can do it a dam site quicker in a game where nano secounds can come into play it is really stupid.

would have been better trying to manually reg than use these cunning bunch of so and so's

Anyway it has opened ones eyes so wont be doing any business with them again apart from transfering the domains I have with them away and trying to do a charge back through the credit card company.

Off to spread the word to avoid a certain Registrar

I wonder why primary the newbies are talking bad about EuroDNS and experienced members not.
