I wish this would not bother you too much.

I'm a software engineer, and I was wondering if you were planning to keep the domain ***.org or not, and if it's possible that you transfer the domain to me.

This is because for long time, I feel that ***.org is related to some happenings in my past lives, and it would be great pleasure for me to have the domain so I can have some peace in my mind for the rest of my life.

As I work in a small company, and I have a family, it would be hard for me if you ask for a high price like some others who sell domains, but I can afford a regular domain transfer cost out of my salary. And, I hope it would not be a loss for your company.

As Elequa said: "I'm not a charity". :-D

I've received the odd "I'm a student and want the domain for a project" or two - but this one is different.

She even gave me her phone number. Maybe I should call and tell her that I'm considering it (actually, I am not :-D) - then don't call her back.

BTW, it's not a three letter .org - it's a major keyword.

Sounds like she needs a shrink not a domain name.

if you're not using the domain or have it parked and it's not making a lot of cash, then possibly you let them use the domain with restrictions.

they must put your adsense code in all pages
you retain all rights and priviledges
usage can be revoked at anytime, without notice
no porn/terror/abusive related sites
they must add links to any sites you request

thus they may add value to the domain, with an active site.
and maybe you could make some nice revenue

just a thought

You should call her and tell her that you paid for the registration for the year and when it expires you won't renew it and she can have it.

:)

LOL - so true !

(had that student excuse a few times in the past too & also "...the site would only be for informational purposes and will not make any money..." , but this one is just too original to ignore. please do ask her to spend her salary on a shrink.)

“I'm a software engineer”

Hmmm...must make a nice salary.

But then…

“I can [only] afford a regular domain transfer cost.”

Let’s see…seven dollars, about the price of a movie, is all she can afford because she is a “software engineer.”

Boy, wouldn’t you like to cross-examine this idiot!

And then…the stand-up comedy begins…

“I feel that ***.org is related to some happenings in my past lives, and it would be great pleasure for me to have the domain so I can have some peace in my mind for the rest of my life.”

Now that is VERY funny!

Whew! Adding that humor, or whatever you want to call it, really makes this scam a piece of……………………

work. (or something along those lines!)

“…so I can have some peace in my mind for the rest of my life.”

Uh, right, the same “peace in my mind” that all scammers feel when they rip someone off.

What a sick charlatan!

Although rubbish like this may seem benign, these losers play the numbers game and all it takes is a few unsuspecting, overly trusting individuals to make their disgusting tactics pay off –- the same numbers game that is used by those who engage in spamming or phishing.

I replied - including all this drivel - with a simple "No".
I wonder if she'll respond with more drama.

LoL, all software engineers say they get little pay, in reality min payout for a proper software eng. = £50,000 - £200,000 (on average!) P.A.

So if he says he is a software engineer, tell him he is more than wealthy enough to pay for the FULL price of the domain, or as he said he can pay for the transfer fee, you can ask $9,000 for the transfer fee ;)

Anyways, can you do me a favour, trace his ip and tell me if he is indian/russian/pakistani/or any other country ^^ (just intrested)

Radi if you ever decide to give that domain away, remember me :). Seriously some people are funny but on the other hand they mighthope that the domain's owner is a fool and might fall for their scam. Just my 2 cents.

It's a "she" (but on the Internet no-one knows you're a dog :-D) and the IP is from the US. But the email portion & writing style are Chinese.
