Hi Joseph Slabaugh,
You’ve been invited by Hal Meyer to participate in the post-auction negotiation for powmia.com, which ended unsold.
Hal Meyer is willing to accept $5,500, or near offer, for this domain.

I think his reserve was like 9000, and its a great name, but what would you guys pay for it?

Guessing .. POW = Prisoner Of War.. MIA = Missing In Action..

So very specific domain name. I would not really attribute it a 4 figure value. But maybe for the Americans it has more value, though I would think that if you are POW you cant also be MIA.

So who is the potential market? What is the potential use? How could it be monetised? I don't see why it's considered $5k.
Lars is correct it is a Prisoner of War/Missing in Action name. It could be used to sell t-shirts I suppose. Or something with this logo that is widely used in the US.

That shows some uses for the term.

wouldn't go higher than $$$ if I knew what it meant and.... I was interested in buying it in the first place

nk is already returning some remains of war veterans
and as time goes by, sadly, it may have less significance

imo....

Why is that sad Biggie?

Is it not good that terms like POW and MIA are lost on the general public? Must mean that you have less POWs and MIAs, which in my book has to be a good thing.

well, it's more about the actions and events, that may get lost over time, as a part of history

though to have less POW's and MIA's, yes, that is a good thing

to have no more wars, would be the ultimate goal

:)

imo.....

Well I think he should've taken it. To me, its chances of making its money back seem slim to none.
I think that's a fair assessment. 3K is a fair price for a name that is more in the history books than in the future (hopefully)... With the return of the remains of the NK war soldiers, it's losing the value, as Biggie said. I would hope no more wars are the future.
