Hey Guys,

If your domain is listed and verified by premiumdomain.com as a premium domains, What does that mean in Value terms? is it widely accepted?

Do people care if your domains is verified as a premium domain by premiumdomain.com and does it increase the value of it?

Thanks a lot,
Rami

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!

I dont know what would've I done without being around you guys!

And I've been submitting domains like crazy waiting to see them marked as premium!

Heck! I already have 3500+ domains, I sure cant afford to pay $50 per domain to have Sedo or Moniker Appraise them!

Thanks,
Rami

P.S. what about the value of .cc domains? and .mobi? for example, I just got E85.CC and Synchronization.mobi .. E85 is NOT related to the extention but Synchronization is sure related to .Mobi ... Any advice here?

Life is hard, but it's harder when you are stupid. And even harder if you are really stupid.

It seems that the stupid people think less, have less ambition and maybe less stress... maybe life isn't that hard for stupid people - they're probably happier.

No, their appraisals mean absolutely nothing.

I would not pay more for a domain that are "premium certified" and would not pay less for a domain that wasn't.

You can get appraisals here for free. Why pay another dn member at premiumdomain for his valuation?

High value domains

What's a "premium" domain?

Should say life is expensive if you are stupid. Ever notice how much stupid people have to pay the "sloppy tax". Late fees, penalties, Overnight mailings, scams, etc. Even being poor can be cheaper than being stupid.

Back on topic: Hard to imagine how a designation of Premium would add value. Unless your buyer is stupid :).

Always makes me laugh that people in beat-up old cars are the ones who speed past me on the highway, then 1 mile down the road get a $100 fine for speeding..

By my post I didnt mean that marking the domain as premium will make my buyer pay more... What I meant was: I needed something that will give me an estimated "REAL" value to the market price.

I realized that appraisals are WAY WAY off the market price "Sedo and Moniker Paid Appraisals I am talking about" ...

Thats all about it..

Thanks guys.

list your domains for sale at any of those places, with the "make an offer" option.

If you get some offers, then you'll know if they have value.

I'm sure any of us would be happy to take your money and tell you how much your name "could be" worth!

Post them in the "Appraisal" section and see if you get some feedback.

As things come in mind:

Our valuation service is TOTALLY FREE.

We DO NOT provide any appraisal services, for such services we recommend Moniker or SEDO appraisals.
And as Biggie outlined, if you want a free advice from your peers, you will get some feedback at DNForum or NamePros appraisal sections.

GoldGin - If you have not been satisfied by the results of your premium domains certification please let me know specifically for which domains. They will be reviewed again.
Our certification is improving everyday thanks to constructive feedback.

It's not a magic service, we exactly do like most of you are doing here.
From these metrics:
- Readability
- Term frequency.
- Search popularity.
- TLD.
We calculate a domain scoring that outlines the quality of the above metrics.
The algorythm has been compared with recent years domain sales to trying to have results that makes sense as better as possible.
Premium domains are simply domains scoring +400.
The limit is low to allow most of you having some premium domains and even with this low limit, less than 10% of domains are certified as premium.
Because there is a so huge difference between the low and high premiums you really need to give your domain score when you communicate about your domains.

Now, take this free service for what is it:
An easy/free way to calculate a scoring that outlines the metrics value of a domain. Often there is people here saying my domain has an OVT... or my domain is referenced x times in Google, ...
We do not do anything else then simplify this speech, with a score that summarize all this.

Our valuation will be improved soon with the commercial value metric. And we continue working hard to correct/adjust or review the algo thanks to constructive comments, examples, ...

About the question, will you sell more having a domain certified as premium.
My response is that it can only help you, sometimes a lot, sometimes a little.
Because out of the domaining world when we are not talking about high premium names, the potential buyer has no clue about his value.
Having an external third party confirms about the metrics quality of your domain for sale cannot hurt you, it's the inverse, it can only put the buyer more comfortable, and more when you are asking a significant price.

Now the use of the "certified premium" for the premium names having a low scoring will not help you if the only place you want to sell your domain are forums, I explained many times the reason.

Also note, that apparently, their definition of what is Premium has recently changed... Several of my domains (that I did have written appraisals done with Moniker at big bucks) that were rejected by Premium Domains and repeatedly mentioned here, in this forum, as having no value at all...

Were suddently, just a week ago, revisited and marked as PREMIUM.

I wonder what changed? Did they lower their standards for little ol me? Or did they lower their standards for everyone? Or.... did they realize their mistake and correct it?

In any case, was their system flawed before and is fixed now, or is if flawed now? Or was it alwasy flawed?

Doesn't really matter... the point is that a domain is "worth" what the market will bear. Appraisal or no. I have a domain that has had 7 figure appraisals and $100 offers at Sedo. So what? Does it mean that it's only worth $100 bucks? Or does it mean that someone is trying to lowball steal it from me?

That's the business, Pal. The "trick" to all of this is to find a number that YOU are happy with for the domain and never look back. YOU WILL sell a domain for what you think is a good price and then hear about it selling a year later for 4 times that amount. It happens. So what. Take the money you make and turn it into MORE... that's the point.

We all make good and bad decisions. NONE of us are going to have the same opportunity that people buying domains 15 years ago did. They don't exist any more. Just do your best, be content, be ethical, work hard, LEARN and give it a whack. Who knows, you might get some big sale... but honestly, a steady stream of reasonable sales will make me happy every day of my life.

Best of luck to ya!

GoPC,

One week ago we made the first update of our domain scoring tool.
I posted in DNForum and NamePros but unfortunetaly here a moderator deleted the post imediately so for more info please check out my NamePros posts.

Thanks to constructive feedback we improved our scoring algorythm.
All the names submitted until now (~700,000) were re-valuated.
And we sent out a mail to each owner.

As I said we did not wake up with the perfect tool, step by step we are improving it.
And it's only a free tool that help having a quick and global idea of the quality of the domains metrics.
For sure the final decision is taken by the buyer because there are some human parameters that could never be coded.
