Hi,

I'm not very sure if this is the place to post this question, but how would I go about to transfer a domain from Domainsite to Godaddy? I dont have an account with domainsite.

So far I've only found info regarding transferring domains into domainsite but not out from domainsite...and their FAQ and info at the web says nothing at all about this...

I've emailed them but then, as expected no reply...*great cust service*....

Anyone with experience regarding this issue, or anyone ever tried to transfer a domain away from them?

Thanks

P.S: Latest update is they (Domainsite) do reply to emails..but I'm going to ask them some straight to the point questions...going to see if they respond...

each domain had a code at domainsite, the owner has to approve the transfer from the domainsite account ,after putting in a transfer request from godaddy.

yes, so you need a domainsite account to begin with.

he might be buying a domain that is regged at domainsite and wants to know the procedure after the purchase or after he creates an account for the push and wants to transfer to godaddy, most of the time with this question that is the case.

Yes, thanks guys.

Actually I bought a domain from a guy who regged it at domainsite, and now I'm not that sure how to do it, cos all the FAQS say to get a domain into domainsite and not how to get it out.

Would the transfer out from domainsite be easy/hard ? I've heard some people saying that transferring between between different registrars depends alot on the particular registrar...

I have no experience with domainsite but from what I see so far, it may not be that smooth.

it is really pretty easy, you go to godaddy and through your account request a transfer into godaddy on the domain, then godaddy will send an email to domainsite requesting transfer , then domainsite will contact the guy you bought the domain from to authorize the transfer , as soon as he does authorize it then it takes 5 days or so.

Thanks, Bro

Actually I'm the owner now, I had to open an account over there and get a free push into my account at domainsite.

I guess it helps to have an account over there coz seems many people have domains with domainsite...cheap I guess.

But nothing beats Godaddy, with their control panel and all...plus quick response time, although they just skim thru their emails...

Anyway, if you say its easy, then it should be easier with me having the account over there...

Thanks.
