Another member e-mailed me and said it was sold for about 30K...

I think it is all speculation...

My guess is, he is getting a laugh at all of us!

If he sold it the way he sells his names at he most certainly got a good price...

In Business, a 3 to 7 time ratio is usually used.

You would need to reg more names than that to make it cost effective to bocome your own registrar.

He would only save .95 per name MAX (enom)
Possibley less depending if he could get a deal from a registrar.

It costs more $ that 60K to become a registrar.

Far be it from me to say anything nice about my old sparring partner Greg (;) ), but he also put money, resources, and a lot of his time into it. So did others... and Greg still profited... but he did put a lot more into it than just the initial purchase price.
