Hey here in Ohio they passed a law that they can not smoke in the workplace like where I work, so there is a shed outside, one that our company makes, but the 2 sides are taken off, so it is "central air" right through the shed, and that is where smokers need to go to smoke during their breaks. THey could not pay me a million to do that is sub-zero degree weather!

well, another day down :) i found myself eating alot of string cheese yesterday- maybe because the reminded me of cigs :) i am sleeping 20 minutes later- not getting up to do my cig routine before i wake the kids for school (we always smoked in the garage- never in the house by the kids)

i know this is for good- altho my mouth wants to smoke something aweful- my head knows its just over. my dad died 2 years ago- 60 years old.... lung cancer- its time to stop for good.

its a shame how something so damaging- something that freely takes away the things you love- can STILL make you want it like never before. its kinda sick ;-(

I quit at 36 - first time I got caught smoking was at junior school when I was 7!!!!

Not had one for over 2 years - first few weeks are hard - sooooo glad I stopped....

Circa - the way I stopped was I was going to China on business, 8 solid days with no time to myself, thought the schedule would take my mind off it - worked a treat!

Stick with it smashfactory - it's worth it, especially if you've got kids.

I think my first smoke was when I was 5 or 6, but I was a light smoker, and have not had any for like 5 years now.

to be honest i would try hypnotherapy or something. 2 or 3 packs a day is very serious, especially in this day & age, when we know what it does to you..

Now thats something I am really apprehensive to take up...Hypnotherapy...
A friend also suggested this to me. Has anyone here gone thru hypnotherapy ? just read about it on the net.. and looks like it has treatment for other things too :)

i smoked for 20 years too, so know all the angles of why we like/d it so much.
you don't need it. i've given up for best part of a year now. best thing i ever did. .

Yeah I guess you understand......all smokers are same...did you have to go thru hypnotherapy Pred or you just had enough of smoking ?

try switching to roll ups. once you get used to them (& use filters) there is an art & enjoyment to rolling your own & (with a filter) much better for you than standard cigarettes as they have far less crap in them. also you won't be able to rol up as many as cigarettes (eg driving etc), so will cut down.
trust me, even when i was a smoker i hated the smel of standard cigarettes as they smelled like car exhausts compared to quality rolling tobacco. maybe try that first?
...sounds a good idea...might give this a try.

Cheers
Nick
