I also did not reg it due to no commercial value, unless I am missing something involving the name or letters.

Probably the reason it was popular here is because all other major extensions were taken. When that happens it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy the last ext will also be reg'd.

just wondering is it only be good if the name has a "commercial value"? why? and how? How can commerical value be determined?

.com can also be nothing if no one agree its commercial value besides the owner. :)

IMO, if many people like the name, it can be considered as a good name. :)

Could also be initials of a company.

The name also has branding value but that is very costly.
