I've a question, how is it possible for .US domains to be dropping, when the TLD has been around since April?

I wondered the same thing myself. I could only guess but maybe these are people who lied about being qualified for a name or ones that were held during sunrise period and later released.

Exactly! :)

Many of the names (regardless of extension) posted in this thread are 'Available' - but not necessarily 'Expired'.
In the case of .US/.BIZ./INFO - they are just good finds that were not regged yet.
