Just one right now.

Maybe needs an "s"

PCGolfGame.com

I think 1k Overtures and that mixes plural and singulars.

Hey guys. I'm working on the new 'system' for the 2nd version of this thread. It will be tomorrow though--before I can get to it. We should have a more organized way of tracking everything--which will save a lot of time flipping thru pages. Thanks to everybody again for making this such a big success. You guys rock!! :D

NamePopper:

Found this thread today and, in it, your post of 9/16. Have just picked up BrandStarters.com (dropped name you listed there) as a result. Seems to me this one could have real possibilities.

:) Whether it does or it doesn't have a real future, many thanks as always for your tips!

Thanks Beggers

I just regged fancycandy.com for use with my girlfriends planned lingerie site. She runs a couple brick and mortar lingerie stores and will be doing a site using lingerie.biz and offering gifts like flowers and candy to boot.

Saw these while browsing some deleted domains. They are all available as of this posting:

BoxGiant.com -- name for selling boxes.
ChiliKing.com -- Someone should get this name and start a fast food restaurant chain!
Choice****.com -- porn name
Computance.com -- a good made-up name for a company or magazine.
DirtSite.com -- dishing out the dirt on celebs.
Fretfully.com -- a dictionary word, also good for a guitar site
GiftPapers.com -- gift wrapping service or fancy stationary.
Savager.com -- good name for a comic book or movie villain.
HorseTrot.com -- In addition to the horse trotting meaning, this was also the name of a popular dance in the 1900's. See

Hi Folks,

I've had an idea for a new version of this thread. I've spoken to NamePopper and he likes it and has asked me to post it here to see what everyone thinks. So here it is:

People who register the posted names should be encouraged to give dnforum bucks to the person who posted it. The bucks could be redirected by the moderators or by the people who reg the posted names - turning the thread into a sort of mini marketplace. There could be a sliding scale, for instance 30 bucks for a .com, 20 for a net and 10 for someone who posts a dropped org that is registered by another member. I think this system would encourage more forum members to post here and add a little fun to it as well.

Please post your opinions.

Thanks,
Ed

Xcellent. So far everybody likes the idea too. I just wanted to get the opinions of you guys--since you are the heart and soul of this thread & this forum.

We are going to leave this up for a day or two--to get more feedback--but judging by the early returns--I think we may have a pretty cool new system in the works.

If you haven't given your thumbs up (or down) yet--please do.

A big Kudos to Ed30 for thinking it up--and approaching me with this idea. :D

And as always--a big thanks to all you guys who continue to support--and contribute to the thread.

LOL Steve!! :D

Beggers--you use the bucks in the DNForum Store to buy things like...

Avatar--the picture below your name.

Glow--the color that glows around you name.

Custom Titles--the title under your name (instead of "newbie" etc.)

Lottery Tickets--we have drawings where the winner wins all the bucks in the pot.

*From the home page--look at the top right for the DNForum Store link. :D
