I was suprised to see No Reserve for Record.com... I was even more suprised at what I read on his description.

"THE NAME WONT BE SOLD CHEAP,IT WILL BE PULLED FROM AUCTION IF NOT DOING WELL"

Tell me if im wrong, but since the domain has bids, and there is no reserve, is he legally allowed to pull the domain from the auction?... I don't think he is.

You can end your own auction for the following reasons.

The item is no longer available for sale.
There was an error in the starting price or reserve amount.
There was an error in the listing.
The item was lost or broken.

It may be bad practice to do this, but it can be done. It's still your item until the auction ends.

I feel if he says that it will be pulled if it's not doing well, he'll end it no matter how high it goes. Greed will play a big part and thus, if it gets some high bids, he'll think it's worth more anyway.

What is the Ebay Auction link?

Pulling an item because it is "Not doing well" is not a valid reason and is against Ebay rules.

EBay says this violates section 5.2 of their User Agreement:
>> 5.2 Binding Bids. Except for items listed in a category under the
> Non-binding Bid Policy, if you receive at least one bid at or above your
> stated minimum price (or in the case of reserve auctions, at or above the
> reserve price), you are obligated to complete the transaction with the
> highest bidder upon the auction's completion, unless there is an exceptional
> circumstance, such as: (a) the buyer fails to meet the terms of your listing
> (such as payment method), or (b) you cannot authenticate the buyer's
> identity.

Considering the really high bids will arrive within seconds of the auction closing, this guy is clearly an idiot.

May be he expected $20,000, but the highest bid was just $300.

Good name but it don't think it's worth the effort to bid on it. Most likely it will be pulled off the auction and disappoint all bidders. Especially the highest bidder.

Maybe he just wants to draw attention to the name, so he gets more signups at eBay or so he gets someone to make a good offer in private...

Either way, now that he has bids he will have to sell it. With just two days to go, the price is now $5600
