Maybe, this might be a good time for professional domainers to move from Enom to Fab.

As an experiment, I registered 10 new domains with Fab. this weekend.
I was happy with the process.

For every 1,000 domains I renew at Enom, I could have renewed* 1,086 at Fab.
* Transferred from Enom into Fab.

My Moniker dot-com (discounted) pricing went up to more than $8 today A sizable percentage increase.
Uh Oh bad news. I got an e-mail from them about it. I should have renewed then.

How do we go about signing up for such an account?

What methods of funding an account do you support?

Here's the sign-up info w/link to application

Fabulous Monetization Accounts
What's the difference between Fabulous Registration and Monetization accounts?
Fabulous is a product that services retail registration and monetization customers.

A "Domain Registration Account" provides simple domain registration and management facilities for retail customers. Anyone can open one of these accounts.

A "Domain Monetization Account" is an application only service designed for customers who would like to monetize a portfolio of domain names. These accounts provide a domain parking system (including access to the Fabulous Premium Program), redirection services, domain sales tools, as well as wholesale pricing for registrations, renewals and transfers.

Are there minimum requirements to open a monetization account?
We require that you have a portfolio of more than 50 domains, comprised predominantly of commercial English language .com domains with type-in value (although high quality portfolios of any size will be considered).

How do I open up a monetization account with Fabulous?
To open up a monetization account with Fabulous, please follow these simple steps:

Fill in the brief application form “https://secure.fabulous.com/signup.htm?formcode[event]=signupmenu&formdata[accounttype]=wholesale” , including a list of domains you wish to park on with Fabulous.
Once approved, you will receive an email from your monetization account manager.
Your account manager will import all eligible domains from your application form into your account, categorize and optimize them for maximum revenue return.
When this is complete, you will receive an email notifying you that your domains are ready. At this time you need to change the Nameservers of these domains over to Fabulous, so that we can display content on them.
The Nameservers to use are NS1.FABULOUS.COM & NS2.FABULOUS.COM
You can now login and view your account.

and

Deposit Funds
You can deposit funds using a credit card (MasterCard/Visa), wire transfer or PayPal
.
Also you can set an amount every month from your monitization income to use as funding for your registrations.

Domain Monetization Account is the account with the lower pricing? What if we do not want to park any names at Fabulous at this time? It may be something for future use, but more along the lines of shopping around for domain pricing.

fabulous has the easiest and most convenient interface and the cheapest prices, also quick support. I keep over 1000 domains there, so far all good.
Just wish I've renewed most domains before the price increase

you don't have to park them there, just show that you have some decent domains.

Is that something new? I asked about it not too long ago when I wanted to move some good names which used framed forwarding elsewhere (instead of dns changes) to Fabulous and was told no by cust supt :?: so did not move the parking to Fabulous as I wanted to do,

Hi trader,

Sorry for the confusion, we do offer frame redirects if you are wanting to send traffic to a custom URL (not our parking program). For example, say you have developed the domain FreeGamesOnline.com and you have Free-Games-Online.com that you want to redirect (using a Frame Redirect), we can offer this.

However, we do prefer that all domains on our parking program use our DNS.

How do we go about signing up for such an account?

What methods of funding an account do you support?

Hi jdk and any other wanting an account,

You can apply for an account using this link.

There are a number of ways to fund your account, including wire, PayPal or credit card. Also, for those that monetize their domains with us, you can also use revenue from your parked domains and domain sales to register, transfer and renew domains.

I have a lot of org's so wondering if that price for org is valid after Nov 1?

Both .org and .info domain prices will remain at $6.65 until November 1. After this time, they will rise to $7.25.

Let me know if there's any other questions or if anyone needs assistance getting an account.

Cheers,

Mike

The other registrar say's they do not offer bulk auth codes. Any other possible way to easily transfer in bulk to you instead of the tedious and slow one at a time way.

I know we offer bulk auth codes if someone is wanting to transfer out. I think it really depends on how difficult the losing registrar wants to make it for you to move.

If you are having any problems transferring out, drop me an email or PM and I'll see what I can do.

Domain Monetization Account is the account with the lower pricing? What if we do not want to park any names at Fabulous at this time? It may be something for future use, but more along the lines of shopping around for domain pricing.

That's right, the cheap domain prices is a value added service for those that use our parking program.

As Michael Goldman mentioned, you don't have to park everything with us. So long as we know you have a nice portfolio we can make allowances. :)

Cheers,

Mike

Mike, if I am only interested in the Registrar services can I still get the pricing you've quoted? Or do I have to park domains at Fabulous to qualify?

Hi Acro,

Depending on the number of domains you have, I'm sure we can offer those prices.

Shoot me an email or PM with details of your portfolio and we can go from there.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi dvdrip,

I just checked with the Finance guys and they have said that you are unable to use PayPal Masspay, as you need to process the payment through the Fab portal.

Just so you know, we will wear any incoming fees that may be incurred on PayPal transactions. That is, if you nominate to deposit $25 via PayPal, your Fab account will be credited with the full $25.

Being a large domain portfolio owner ourselves, we designed Fabulous to serve our own portfolio. In saying this we have a lot of bulk tools, including registrations, renewals, transfers and nameservers; all of which are very easy to use.

Let me know if there's any other questions.

Cheers,

Mike

Also who do I contact to make bulk transfer to fabulous... :)

One of my favorite features at fabulous is the expiry control.. just enter domain(s) into your portfolio ..whether your parking them or not and you get a daily list of your deleting domains.. or from the control panel pick a date range to see whats expiring or expired..
Expiry Type Fabulous Portfolio
Expired September 2008:
Expires Today:
Expires October 2008:
Expires November 2008:
Expires December 2008:
Unknown Expiry:

We are constantly making improvements to our interface, most of which come from customer requests. I'm not sure what improvements you are referring to (sorting and domain search). If you want an account to see the various tools/features, drop me a PM and I will get you access.

Feel free to contact me via email (mike at fabulous dot com) or PM if you are wanting to bulk transfer names to us.

Cheers,

Mike
